Blood is eternal atonement
Text: Hebrews 9:11-12,22
“For Christ came as high priest of the good things to come, and entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption with his own blood, not through the blood of goats and calves, but through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this creation…” All his things are purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission” (Hebrews 9:11-12,22).
The blood of Jesus Christ on the cross made eternal atonement.
The blood of Jesus Christ on the cross achieved eternal salvation. Hallelujah
Dear brothers and sisters, our redemption includes the great meaning of redemption, apology, redemption, and salvation. I was forgiven by the blood of the cross of the Lord, I was redeemed, I was redeemed, and that I was saved is the same as saying that the Lord has become a ransom sacrifice.
“For a sinner like me to be forgiven and justified in the sight of the Lord, I have been forgiven by the blood of the Lamb Jesus, whom I believe in. I have made atonement for my sins, Lord Jesus. ” (Hymns 189:3)
“Without the blood of goats and calves” is the great sabbath, the sabbath of sabbath, and the sabbath of complete sabbath on the first day of July, which is celebrated on the Day of Atonement in the Old Testament times (Exodus 31:15; Jeremiah 23:3; 32, also appear in 25:4) Therefore, the Sabbath on the Day of Atonement is an absolute Sabbath that is commanded to be kept forever (Leviticus 16:31, p.152).
In the Old Testament times, the Day of Atonement was the day of Azazel. It is the day of the high priest, the day of the Most Holy, the day of the sprinkling of blood. And it also has the following features:
(1) It is the only day of the year when you can enter the Holy of Holies.
(2) It is the day when blood is transferred to the Azazel goat to belong to.
Azazel means 1) demons or Satan 2) complete annihilation of sin 3) falling into a rock and dying.
(3) It is the feast of atonement for original sins and the sins of the whole nation rather than individual sins.
Also, on July 10 of the Day of Atonement, as shown in Leviticus 10:1 and 16:1, Aaron's two sons Nadab and Abihu died immediately before the LORD while offering another fire that the LORD had not commanded. It is a regulated system. And while Moses fasted and prayed for a long time, while receiving the commandments, laws, and ordinances, fasting and prayer for about 120 consecutive days was a day when God's mercy and mercy were given, which was impossible for man to do. This is the date calculated by Midrash as the day when God began to release His wrath and to bless Israel again. Therefore, the Day of Atonement is the day on which God releases his wrath. It is also the most important day in the Bible, the Day of Life.
It is a more emphasized day than the Passover. In the Old Testament, sins are forgiven and we receive life through the blood of animals, and in the New Testament, we receive life by believing that Jesus shed His blood and died for us. So, the life lost in the Garden of Eden was found on the Day of Atonement. And in the New Testament, life was obtained on the cross. There is no more important day than the day you came to life. So, if we say that the Day of Atonement is the most important day in the Bible, the event of eternal redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ is the most important event because it is the day of greater life and the day when the covenant of eternal life is promised.
It teaches us that the eternal atonement and salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ has given us the following great grace.
1. As a complete ransom, he was redeemed and released from the chains of sin.
(1) God Himself solved it through Jesus Christ.
*Hebrews 9:22 [Principle of shedding of blood (life) (sacrifice)] “Without shedding of blood there is no remission”
*Exodus 24:8 [Blood of the Covenant] “Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, saying, This is . . . It is the blood of the covenant.”
*John 1:29 [Jesus, the Lamb of Atonement] “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world”
*Hebrews 13:12 “Jesus also suffered outside the gate to sanctify the people with his own blood.”
*Ephesians 1:7 [Atonement by the blood of Jesus] “By his blood we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins… ”
(2) Therefore, if you believe in Jesus, your sin problem will be completely solved.
*Romans 8:1-2 [All sins past, present, and future] “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets you free from the law of sin and death. did it”
(3) Now, we believe in the atoning Lord Jesus as God showed us.
*John 1:12 “To those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
*Romans 10:13 “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”
Isaiah 1:18 “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.
One of the rabbis in Israel, Ishmael, said, “During the Day of Atonement sacrifice, they were tied to the gate of the sanctuary with scarlet hair, and the sin goat (Azazel goat) arrived in the wilderness and was pushed to death. That is why nature is made known.” When delivering Azazel goats, it is said that 10 huts were installed at half intervals of a distance that could be traveled for half a day on the Sabbath.
Also, on the Day of Atonement, the first goat chosen by the high priest is to offer a burnt offering as a sin offering, and the second goat chosen is to take the sins of the people and carry out the mission of the Azazel goat. Hymn 189:2 “I have not been redeemed with a perishable treasure like gold or silver, but I have been redeemed with the blood of Jesus, the Holy Lamb of God.” Hallelujah
2. I have set my soul free as a complete sacrifice.
Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 6:18 “Freed from sin, you have become slaves to righteousness”
Romans 6:22 “Now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, you have obtained the fruit that leads to holiness, and the end is eternal life.”
Psalm 102:20-21 “that he might hear the groanings of the prisoners, and set free those who were condemned to die, that the name of the Lord might be proclaimed in Zion and in Jerusalem.”
Hymn 495: “My soul has been blessed, and I have been stripped of heavy burdens, and this world of sorrow is transformed into heaven. The kingdom of heaven, which I saw far away before I saw the Lord, is being realized in my heart. It is getting closer day by day. Wherever you are, the kingdom of heaven, hallelujah, praise me. All my sins are forgiven and I walk with the Lord Jesus.
Psalm 146:6-10 “The Lord frees the prisoners, opens the eyes of the blind, raises the humble, loves the righteous, protects the stranger, sustains the widows, and makes the wicked pervert the way.”
The sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ on the cross freed me and you from the rulers of the air through eternal atonement. We should enjoy our freedom to the fullest, but why can't we be free in our worship life, prayer life, service life, and life of devotion?
3. He entered the sanctuary at once and was given the blessing of eternal salvation.
In the Old Testament times, on the Day of Atonement, the high priest sanctified through the temple life from 7 days before, preparing incense, preparing the wick, and making atonement for himself on the 3rd and 7th days. The blood is sprinkled seven times in front of the mercy seat once on top and is offered for the blood of the people. On the eve of the Day of Atonement, I prepared all night, immersed my body in water 5 times, washed my hands and feet 10 times, and made them clean. This was because it was not allowed to be unintentionally small or unclean.
Even in the words of Hebrews 9:23-28, salvation was achieved through the atonement through the sacrifice of Christ and the sacrifice of one time.
Text 9:12 “Once for all, once for all, eternal salvation has been accomplished. “The high priest repeatedly entered the Most Holy on the Day of Atonement (July 10) and did the same thing over and over again year after year. However, as the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, He accomplished eternal redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ, who offered His people as an eternal sin offering once for all. You have achieved eternal salvation.
*Hymn 141:5 “Even if I cry all the time, I know how to repay it with tears, so I have nothing to offer but my body.”
Dear brothers and sisters, we should give thanks, admiration, worship, and praise every minute and every second.
4. The work of eternal atonement is the giving of eternal life.
According to the law, someone must pay a price to solve it. Someone must die. For this is a tooth, an eye for an eye, and a life for life. For my life, Christ died for me, so my life was saved. My soul lived. I have enjoyed eternal life. Hallelujah
John 17:3 “Eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent”. It is to know by faith that Jesus died for me on the cross. Hebrews 10:12 “But Christ offered one eternal sacrifice for sins and sat down at the right hand of God”.
Romans 6:23 “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Hymn 205:3 "When I stand before Jesus, I will wear white clothes and live in my bright and shining house. If we believe in our Lord, we will all be saved and will surely receive the crown of eternal life."
Hymn 221:1 “I took off my heavy burdens to enter the city of poverty, welfare, and preciousness. There is no need to wander again in my sins. I will live by that life stream. I will live by the road. I will live. I will live” Hallelujah hallelujah I will live the way!!
Dear brothers and sisters, we have received the tremendous blessing of eternal redemption, eternal salvation, and eternal life through the blood of the Lord. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Let us give thanks, praise, and worship by being moved by this grace and being moved by this grace.
