Title: Hell's Hide, Heaven's Business
Contents
The people of hell hide, the people of heaven trade.
Matthew 25:14-30.
There is a proverb that says that you can recognize a tree you want to become, starting with the cotyledon. However, from this earth, we can know who is saved and will go to heaven and who will not be saved and will go to hell.
Hell people hide and heavenly people trade.
The poor save money and the rich borrow money.
Small people work, rich people run.
Today's story is one of the most well-known parables told by Jesus.
When a certain owner left, I had to leave for a foreign country. I called three servants. He gave one servant five talents of gold, one servant two talents, and the other one talent and left. A talent is not a measure of money, but a unit of weight. One talent is known to be 33.75 kg. That's 9000 bucks. So, if a piece of gold equals 200,000 won, that's 18 billion won. Said it was a lot of money.
The servant who received the five talents and the servant who received the two talents went out and used all the money given to them as soon as their master left. I traded and left double. But the servant who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money.
After a long time the master of those servants returned and made an account with us.
The servants who were given five and two talents said that they took what was given and left it twice. So I brought the principal and leftover money and gave it to the owner. The owner praised it.
“Well done. A good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, and I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.”
But the servant who had been given one talent brought the one talent he had given him and said,
“Lord. I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown and gathering where you have not sown, so I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. see. You have received yours.”
The owner answered.
“You wicked and lazy servant. Did you know that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not sown? Then you should leave my money with the Zurich and then come back to me to receive my principal and interest. Take the one talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents. From everyone who has, he will receive and have an abundance, but from everyone who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. Cast this useless servant out into the darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 25 contains three impressive stories.
The first story is the story of the ten virgins. The five virgins going to heaven prepared oil and met Jesus, the bridegroom. The five virgins who did not prepare oil could not receive Jesus, the bridegroom.
The third parable is the parable of the righteous and the wicked.
The righteous are those who take care of the little one when he is hungry, to drink when he is thirsty, to wear when it is cold, and to look after him when he is in prison. The opposite is evil.
However, the second parable in the middle is the story of the talents.
Those who will go to hell are hidden. buried.
“The one who had received the five talents went right away and traded with them, and left five more. The one who received the two talents did the same, and left two more. But the one who received the one went and dug in the ground and hid the money of his master...
Those who go to hell are characterized by hiding and burying them. I don't know how to share. The poor save and the rich borrow money.
I'll post it in a week.
