1 Corinthians 10: 23-33
We are ignorant only thinking about ourselves. There are many things we do not know about ourselves, but what we do not know is how selfish we are. People think of themselves as a good person and live their lives. But we are so selfish. I hate people and say that I get angry because they are so selfish. But I don't know that I am equally selfish. Everyone is self-centered. I take care of my food first, and I take care of my feelings first.
To love someone else, you have to let go of yourself. We meet a lot of people living in ways we don't want them to be. No one at home or at work lives to my liking. That doesn't mean I can't make them fit me. I understand and I have to fit in. You can't do this without letting yourself go. In the Old Testament, Jonah disobeyed the command to go to Nineveh and preach the word of God, and went to Tarshish by boat. God chastised him, and a storm broke out, and the ship could no longer sail. Then Jonah said that if you lift me up and throw me into the sea, the sea will be calm. The sailors threw Jonah into the sea, and the sea became calm.
An even bigger storm of emotions comes when I explode my emotions on others when emotions of hate and anger try to swallow me. Anger, hatred, and hatred increase even more. It will be resolved when you let go of ‘I’. 'What if a life that comes to the world for a short time and turns into a handful of ashes is ignored, what if you see some damage, and what if your self-esteem is hurt a little? Our Lord gave everything on the cross..., 'If you think about it, it is nothing. If you go one step further and live with a heart to please others and benefit others, it is easy to forsake yourself.
