Here I am <Isaiah 65:1-9>
Here I am, here I am, it is the voice that God calls to those who do not know or seek Him. Why are you looking for this? It means you want to love. It is to give you grace. It means that you will cover your sins and not ask questions. You and I have received this grace. I got this person. We say we winded up these things. I got things I couldn't get, and I got things I couldn't get. We are truly windfallen by the grace of God. I became a child of God. I live with the grace of God. We live with heavenly authority. became citizens of the kingdom of heaven.
I saw my aunt go to the US and get US citizenship. I am 70 years old. At that age, I studied English and memorized items in English. After working for almost 3 years, I got citizenship. But the moment you get citizenship, everything changes. Public offices have different attitudes, pensions for the elderly are different, and all hospitals are free, telephone, gas, and housing are all free.
I got my citizenship while working hard to get this. By the way, folks, we have obtained heavenly citizenship. This citizenship is to inherit the kingdom of heaven. It is to be given great treasures that cannot be fully expressed in Korean. However, I did not get these things by studying, nor did I get them through my efforts. It was obtained for free. God came one day and gave it to me free of charge. Where is this windfall? Hallelujah
1, Our God is a God who delights in giving grace.
“I was inquired by those who did not seek me, I was found by those who did not seek me, and in a country that did not call on my name, I said, ‘Here I am, here I am. It means that He Himself came to give grace to love. Who are you going to? He came to those who neither seek nor seek God, nor call on His name. Who is it? These are Gentiles. In other words, you and I. God Himself came down to give grace to you and me. And I say. I am here I am here It means come to me.
God is a God who lacks nothing. That is why He can give us everything we ask for. He does not give all that he asks, but he gives generously. He is the one who gives the cup to overflowing.
In the 60's and early 70's, bananas were really rare. Some people didn't even look at it. However, a banana came to the pastor's home where I was serving as a gift. A bunch of bananas with five or so came in, and my wife took it and quickly brought it into the room and hid it. Whenever we eat a banana, we try to get one of them, but we don't eat it. I wondered if it was all wrong to eat, and my taste buds went back home. But even when lying down, I think of bananas, even when I sit down, I think of bananas.
But the first time I tasted bananas. What a fragrant smell, the softness you feel in your mouth. Pride that I've eaten bananas too. I was amazed. Then, in 1985, I went to the United States. I went to the supermarket, and a large one was $1. At that time, it was about 800 won in our money. I bought two boxes of bananas for 5 bucks and I hate the car, and I hate looking at how plentiful bananas are for breakfast, banana lunch, and later. I was so tired back then that I still don't eat bananas. It was so precious in Korea, but when I went to America, it was so abundant.
Remember, God is not a God who only gives you tantalizing taste. He is a God of abundance. He is a God of abundance. So the psalm says, My cup overflows. Please look at God who overflows with God's grace and shakes it up and overflows. God, who lacks nothing, came to me to give me grace. I hope you will meet that God. I hope you will welcome that God. All the Gentiles who met God received God's grace. As the gospel traveled all over the world, from Asia to Rome to Europe, He gave grace and blessing to everyone who answered and opened the door. The barbarians received the gospel and became civilized, and the Vikings received the gospel and became gentlemen. Those are England, France, Norway, Switzerland, and the United States. God gives us infinite things today.
Charles Spurgeon had this thought as he went to worship on a Sunday. If I become a fish and drink all the water, if I become a mouse and eat all the grain, what if I drink all the air of the mountain? Then God speaks. My sweet fish, my sweet mouse, drink to your heart's content, eat as much as you like, little human, my grace is sufficient for you. We believe that God's grace is more than enough to fill us all. The LORD is my shepherd; I lack nothing. Amen.
2. Our God is a God who is anxiously waiting.
He is a God who blesses even the Gentiles. If so, how much will God bless His chosen people? But the Israelites kicked the blessing. You have overthrown the blessings God has given you. God is angry. I'm sorry. God's wrath is not from hate. It is the anger of loving children. It says that God stretched out his hand all day long and called his people. Because God is a waiting God, He did not destroy Him immediately, but called Him all day long.
And teach them what their sins are. It also teaches you how terrifying punishment the group brings. If God did not love them, there would be no need to teach them these sins. “I will first count the deeds and recompense them”. Yahweh has spoken. For what reason do you say you will repay, you will repay? You can just retaliate. Talking like this is waiting. Accounting and coming back.
What do we say when our children talk to us at home? You're right then you're right, you can hit me with a rod. Why are you right, right? It means to stop. It means to come back. It means to wait. There are people who can't come back even after waiting like this. Even though there is a path of blessing that God has prepared, he eventually goes his own way.
A man like Judas Iscariot, after Judas Iscariot came after conspiring with the priests to sell Jesus, Jesus warned him five times to turn him around. He even said that it would have been better had he not been born. In fact, it would be better for a man like Judas Iscariot not to be born. He never turns back. Jesus doesn't tell you to do what you're supposed to do. God is the God who waits. He is waiting for me today, calling me to the one who has not turned back yet.
3. Our God is a God of abundance
There are people whom God loves more. Those who remain until the end. They are the ones who persevered and persevered to the end. They are like seeds. Everyone has betrayed them. Everyone turned around. everyone has left. But in the end, they stay in place. Even when disadvantages come, they remain until the end. It is not like politicians who come and go like migratory birds. No matter how slow God's answer may be, we have to be patient and wait until the end.
Even where he was taken into captivity, he did not worship idols and kept his faith. Even if people all over the world are stained with sin and fall, they bear fruit without being stained with sin and without compromise until the end. God called them blessed. So Daniel is exalted, Joseph is exalted, Shadrach Meshach Abednego is exalted. These are those who have been taken prisoner. Still, he did not succumb to temptation. He did not touch anything sacrificed to idols.
What are the blessings God gives them? He makes clusters of grapes full of juice. A bunch of grapes is a bunch of grapes, but it is different. This is the finest grape. Are all saints saints? There is a saint of the finest quality. There are saints who are like treasure and saints who are like seeds. Juicy bunches of grapes are loved by everyone. I get compliments from everyone. This is what God made. It is to give you honor and glory. These are those who will inherit the kingdom of heaven.
The place to eat after dinner is also different. The person in charge of the order said to come to the company house, but I barely ate in a cramped place like the general members of the congregation. I thought. From now on, you will have to take the order and bring it. I got an invitation, but it's different. I hope you will be the ones who remain until the end. I hope that it will become the seed of the kingdom of heaven that God blesses more. I am here and I hope you will find that God. I bless you to become a recipient of God's grace.
