highest appreciation
(Daniel 6:8-12, Colossians 2:6-7)
Today is Thanksgiving Day. Is there anything in particular you are grateful for this year alone? What do you thank God for today? How are you giving thanks? In what way do you give thanks? (…) As I always say, what are you grateful for this time? I didn't succeed, but I lived a good life. He earned nothing, but he was sincere than ever. It seemed that everything was lost, but through suffering I gained faith. A person who regards glory as a greater blessing than possession and a greater blessing than a long life of holiness can give genuine gratitude.(…)
Today, we are going to look at how we can give high thanks and genuine gratitude through Daniel.
① Gratitude must be expressed.
Gratitude should be deeply grateful from the heart. Gratitude must be sincere and profound. And that gratitude is an outward expression of gratitude. Daniel can also shut the door and do it secretly without anyone knowing. However, because he was trying to make his enemies deny God, he opened the door toward Jerusalem and gave thanks. Seeing athletes win games and kneel on the field to pray seems very dignified. It is a courageous image and a confession that expresses it. (…) Thanksgiving Sunday is something we made and made to express our gratitude to God. As we observe Thanksgiving Day today, we are thankful both with our hearts and with our mouths, but we have to express our gratitude by offering precious materials on top of that. Gratitude must be expressed with sincerity and gratitude in order to be expressed concretely.
② It is to give thanks.
Enlightenment in the life of faith is very important. Where does the true power of faith come from? Realization comes from realization. When a person becomes enlightened, there comes strength, from which spontaneous motivation arises, and a sense of adventure and progress. It is there that courage emerges and joy and gratitude take place. Happiness is not in possession, but in enlightenment. Enlightenment upgrades our lives.(…) When we realize in life, there is joy and gratitude. Daniel realized and thanked God for protecting him in the midst of people trying to kill him.
③ It is always to be grateful.
I saw a person who sent a thank-you card every Easter to the person who evangelized him, made him believe in Jesus, and led him to the church. Been doing it for over 10 years. There are people who say that they officiate for their husband and wife every year around that time.(…) 10 years have passed, but I am living a good life with gratitude without any disturbance. It's not a pretense. How to find the lost feelings of gratitude? What does it mean to always be grateful in your daily life? When gratitude leaves, only complaints and complaints come. Human relationships deteriorate. Worship fails. To always be grateful for everything, doesn't it mean that you are longing for grace, honoring your life, and taking good care of your life?
Today, as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, we should give high thanks to God. It is to express gratitude by giving an offering, to give sincere thanks by giving a heart, and to be reborn as a happy character by always giving thanks. And we must repay God for allowing us to live in grace throughout the year. Then God will be with us and give grace to all the earth. Amen.
