Title: Highway of Zion (Isaiah 57:-)
Contents
God hears our prayers and supplications, opens them wide like the highways of Zion, and receives the 'fruit of our lips'. Amen
All saints!
What kind of people are needed for this society to develop?
Of course, he must be a righteous man, and a man full of mercy and humility.
However, if you look at the first half of today's sermon, you can see that the southern Jewish society has been extremely corrupted and corrupted. In fact, in 2 Kings 12:16 we can see that King Manasseh caused the blood of innocent people to be shed heavily and abundantly.
Also see verse 1. It is said that people at that time went to the grave without regard for the death of the righteous, just like “the righteous die, but no one cares... Not only that, but they say that they directly or indirectly took part in killing the righteous ... I can only guess their depravity.
So the prophet of Habakkuk said, “The law is lax and justice is not very well enforced, for the wicked surround the righteous, and justice perverts.” (Hab 1:4) and complained very bitterly to God.
What was God's answer to this?
In the words of Habakkuk 2:3, “The end will come quickly, and it will never be false. Even though it may be delayed, it will wait for it and it will surely come.” In the end, southern Judah was destroyed by Babylon, and even in the time of Jesus Jesus. It was destroyed by the Romans because it had fallen so badly that it could not be crucified.
Then, we too are living in this wicked world and facing various hardships... How can we avoid God's punishment differently from Judah?
Regarding this, 1 Peter 5:8-9 says, “Be sober and watchful, for your adversary the devil is like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. For you know that your brothers in the world are going through the same afflictions.”
Words are very good. You are not alone in the sufferings of the world, so keep your faith strong and live as children of the light of God without blemish.
But this is what it means... Is it easy?
Of course, it is not easy even for God, so the people of faith must keep it.
How are you?
The heart is trying to follow the right and the right path... How about your actions?
So I can't!
Something like me...
I guess my faith is too weak
Then how about going a little further?
I think God is going to forsake me!!!!
By the way.
But look at Romans 7:19. “I do not do the good I want… but the evil I do not want to do.”
As can be seen, the problem of this sin has not been solved. And he wrote what he realized in Romans 8.
In conclusion, to sum it up in one word, ‘I can’t do it no matter how hard I try’.
However, “if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, then the one who raised Christ Jesus from the dead also raises our mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in us.”
So, go back to today's text and look at verse 14.
God said, “He will say, “Strengthen up, build up, shrink the way, and take away the stumbling block in the way of my people.”
This is the liberation of Israel that we shared last week...
So when they get out of the wages of sin and go up on their way back, that is, when the people of Israel come back to Zion... to clear the way, to level it, to make a wide... is going to do it.
Therefore, if we take Jesus, who died on our behalf, as our Savior, and if we repent of all our sins and come back to Him... Or if we want to live according to your will... to all such people' He promised to open the highway of Zion. (Ex 14:21; Jos 3:14-17)
So look at verse 19.
“I, the LORD, produce the fruit of the lips…”
In other words, what you said with your mouth will surely come true. That's why he said that he would accept the 'sacrificial praise', which is the 'fruit of our lips'.
Dear saints!
Still, do you have a broken heart and a contrite heart because of a difficult and difficult problem?
Then, come before God with your heart as it is.
The God who counts every hair on our head changes the circumstances of you and your children so that we can get our feet out of the net. (Psalm 25:15)
This is verse 15.
God said, “I dwell in the high and holy place, and I dwell with the contrite and humble, that I may revive the spirit of the humble and revive the heart of the contrite. Amen
Also, even if we are lost because we do not know where to go, as in verse 18, “I have seen the way, and I will heal you,” He intervenes in all our affairs and in all our children’s affairs and gracefully leads them to the path of righteousness and life. You say you give.
Therefore, leave all your worries, anxieties and fears to the Lord who is mighty in battle, and set yourself free. Amen
I will give you a round of applause of 'thank you' so that you may be glorified alone by God who has poured out this grace. And I will open my mouth to praise. " Thank you. Glory be to you alone.” Amen
I will pray.
Lord of love! Thank you.
Thank you for keeping us from standing in the seat of sinners, freeing us from the crafts of the wicked, telling lies in vain, and not sitting in the seat of pride and arrogance, jealousy and envy, hatred and anger. And thank you for making me always meditate on the Word and make an effort to live according to the will of the Lord.
Thank you for believing and giving thanks for making everything that we and our children do in 2011 open like the highway of Zion, make it abundant, make it strong, and make it prosper. I prayed all these words in the name of Jesus. Amen (Rev. Yohan Byun)
