Title [2010] Hometown of Souls
Contents
The text is from Luke 16:19-31
On New Year's Day, thousands of people travel to their hometown. Hometown is truly a strange place. There are old memories and longing. Human beings are living beings who envision their hometown. But we forget what's really important. It is true that there is not only the hometown where I was born and raised, but also the hometown of my soul. People only value what they see, and as they live their lives, they tend not to value what they cannot see. Material things are valued, but spiritual things are neglected. That's why Jesus said in Matthew 6:31:33, "Seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness before ye do not think about what to eat, what to drink, or what to wear." I have preached before. “The soul is more precious than the body, the kingdom of heaven is more precious than the world, the words of Jesus are more precious than food.” Even though we know this, we live our lives centered on the body rather than the soul. 1 Corinthians 15:46 “It is sown in a natural body and is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, it also has a spiritual body.” Also, we try to live only for the physical body and not for the more important soul.
I pray that you believe that the hometown where the soul, which is more precious than the body, will return is the “Kingdom of God” that is heaven.
