Title The Attributes of Being Churched
Contents
A. Preface
1. Motivation for publication of 「Escape from Church Inc.」 (Glenn Weinell)
2) Wrong first start
(1) Thinking of profit rather than grace (2) Thinking about management rather than mentoring to help
2. A Bible study is not a church
3. ‘What is the church?’ Let’s pursue the essence of being a church.
1) Not a study room 2) Not a fellowship organization 3) Not an organization that precedes relief 4) Not an education organization 5) Not a human rights organization: In other words, you should not think about managing and managing the church in a corporate way (the church becomes a church) should seek the essence of
B. Body
1. The Essence of Being Church
1) ‘On this stone I will build my church’ (Matthew 16:18): The church built on the stone of Jesus
2) ‘Where two or three are gathered in my name, I will be there in their midst’ (Matthew 18:20): Where Jesus was held
3) The essence of the church is the place where Jesus is placed on the foundation of Jesus: If Jesus is missing, it is not the church
2. The way to revive the church is to ‘make the church the church’: the living and working of the resurrected Christ
3. Conditions of Being a Church
1) You must meet Christ Jesus
2) You must experience Christ Jesus
3) Must have the power of the words of Christ Jesus
(1) Love for enemies (2) Overcoming despair with hope (3) Healing (4) Successful people: ‘I made a mistake’ → People who repent and change
C. Conclusion
1. Let's long for the church where the work of the Holy Spirit is with us: The work of new life is revealed by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit → We are moved and changed without realizing it
1) A sign of fear (godliness) manifesting in every person ‘Then fear arose in all people’ (verse 43).
2) The sign of the death of Ananias and Sapphira because of the lie
3) Signs of being taught by the apostles: being taught by apostles who are not rabbis and have nothing to learn (Teaching from the apostles: verse 42)
4) Selfishness disappears and a sign of grace that comes and goes (“We lived by using all things in common.” Verse 42)
2. Practice John Bunyan’s “Seven Prayer Virtues”
1) Do not lose faith and always keep your faith.
2) Do not lose love and do not doubt the love of the Lord.
3) Let me not live a legal life, but live by grace.
4) Please do not have the sin of cooling down your prayers.
5) Please do not forget what you prayed for.
6) Don't waste time, material or anything.
7) Please do not count your own honor and profit in doing good. 3. Let the church become the church (the church where Christ Jesus works), let's all pray and do our best.
