1. God-given treasure: verses 14-15
There is a tendency for Woong-ri to think that God only gave precious gifts to special people, that is, those who are smart, ahead of their time, and have special talents. The devil likes to live in our misunderstandings. The reason is that if we fall into these misunderstandings, we will rot for the rest of our lives without realizing the precious treasure that God has given us. Verse 15 says that he gave one man five talents of gold, another two talents, and another one talent. Instead of entrusting your precious possessions to just one of many people, the master gave each of them a talent. We must break our inclination to ignore the treasures of God in us through the words of Jesus.
We must accept and believe that God has given us His treasures as He has given Heavenly treasures to others. The things God has entrusted to us are different in shape, color, and size. But all are precious treasures. Just as God's treasures for others are precious, so are God's treasures for ourselves. We must believe that we are not just the talents of the world, but that the precious gifts that God has given us are within us and we must discover them within us. When we examine ourselves, we can discover the treasures of God within us. When we awaken our passion and focus on something, we can see the talent God has given us. In some cases, people around us recognize the talents God has given us. In any case, we must discover what the talent God has entrusted to us with a sense of mission. Because it is what God has entrusted to us.
2. Invest:
People judge us by how many wonderful talents we have. However, God is not interested in how plausible and great talents we have. What God sees is concerned with how we use what God has given us. If a person takes the talents and gifts God has given him and uses them to show off how great he is, God sees this person and says that he is a prodigal man who wasted the gifts and talents God has given him. If you take the gifts and talents God has given you and use them only for yourself and your family, God considers you a selfish person.
In the parable of the talents Jesus gave, the people who received the five talents and those who received the two talents did not use them to show off how great they were. You enjoy what you have and you don't spend it. They were not used to stack them. Instead, the one who received the five talents and the one who received the two talents invested in them to make a profit.
The principle of heaven is investment. God is pleased with the life of willingly investing in faith for the kingdom of God with the talents and gifts He has given you. It is an investment to leave a profit in heaven. This is the life God wants us to have by investing in what God has given us and making a profit on this earth. This is the most wonderful life in heaven, and God praises those who live such a life as good and trustworthy servants and blesses them with a more precious reward.
To invest, first, we must believe that investing in what God has given us can bring valuable profits. We must not be afraid of failure and have faith that if we invest, God will make us bear precious fruits in heaven. This belief can give you the courage to invest.
Second, investing is about facing pain with the courage to be willing to go through it. If you're afraid to face the pain, you don't invest and only plan every day. Once you have planned, you must act immediately. God is the God of those who have the courage to face the pain. In order to invest and work hard, you must pay the pain. Of course, over time there is joy, but first it is pain. It's the pain you have to pay to make the unfamiliar work your own.
3. Those who live with their talents buried:
The one who received the one talent focused only on preserving what was given to him out of fear of failure and blame. You may have thought that he did not have great successes, but he also did not have great failures. Also, he thought that the talent he had received was so small that he could do nothing. He didn't know how precious God's treasure is, and he thought what he could do with it because he thought that what was given to him was insignificant. God rebuked those who bury the treasures of God given to them in this way as wicked and lazy servants. He also took all that he had and cast them out into darkness. Such a life is the greatest failure in heaven.
