Title The Church (Ephesians 1:21-23)
In the end, depending on who is the head, whether it is a real church or a religious organization is revealed. That is why the church is doing the work of revealing the will of Jesus as it is. What did Jesus want to do? 1:10 says that all things in heaven and on earth might be united in Christ. It is the church that does this work. That's why verse 23 says that the church is his body. What does this mean? It is the church that does the work in which the will of Christ is revealed as it is. Isn't it the body that moves as the head thinks? If your head thinks, but it doesn't, you have a problem. is ill. Isn't that paralytic? This is what the church looks like.
So, according to the text, it is said that God was given as the head of the church over all things. After all, where does the church stand? Jesus is in a position to bring all things into subjection. However, the fact that the head of the church is Jesus means that the church is in the place where it reveals and shows the reign of the church over all things. The church is a gathering that works to reveal what the will of the Lord is. It shows that he is ruling and reigning over the earth. This is the role of the body. Then, what should the Church, the body of Christ, pursue today? Can you be afraid of the things of this world and afraid of the powers of this world? It can't be. The question is whether it is not the appearance of the church to throw away the things of this world. Not being bound by money, not being bound by authority, and not falling into the religious game of development or revival, is it not the image of the church, the body of Christ?
