Title The Church Inviting the World
Contents
The church is a place to proclaim God's love to the world while experiencing God's love and expectation. Jesus promises rest and invites those who are burdened with the toil of life in the world. Just as Jesus invites, the church must also invite the world and proclaim rest and rest to the world. In John 10:10, Jesus said that he came so that they might have life, and that life might have it more abundantly. So who should I invite?
First, we must invite those who suffer because of sin in the world.
The most serious human problem is the problem of sin. Sickness makes the human body sick, but sin hurts and makes the human soul sick. Even with the development of science and material abundance, the problem of sin cannot be solved. Only sins can be washed away with the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. So, no one can experience true happiness unless life solves the problem of sin that causes suffering in Jesus. The church is the place to solve this problem of sin. The church is the place where people who are anxious, anxious, and troubled without making humans happy can solve the problem of sin and receive cleansing. So those we are going to invite are those who are grieved for their sins, those who suffer because of their sins. Isaiah 1:18 “Come, let us reason together, says the LORD, though your sins are red as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.”
Second, we must invite the brokenhearted and the sick in the world.
The world is a place where you experience all kinds of hurts and pains. Wounds and pain may be different, but in life's failures, everyone has pain. While experiencing incurable diseases, being pushed out of work, business failure, marriage failure, and failure in entrance exams, we are living with the pain of being pushed out of the world, an inferior life, and a failure. The Lord invites “Come to Me” to this broken-hearted world. Hos 6:1 “Come, let us return to the LORD, for the LORD has torn us, and he will heal us; he has struck us and will bind us up” This invitation is a healing invitation. When you come to church, look to the Lord and rely on Him, your broken heart can be healed. He promised to bind up the pain and bring true peace to the soul. This is the news the world wants. We must become God's tools to heal and restore the wounds of the world.
Third, we must invite those who are thirsty and thirsty in the world.
Among the famines, the most serious famine is the spiritual famine of not hearing the word of God (Amos 8:11). If you don't listen to God's Word, your life will suffer from famine of your soul and you will wander. The famine of life is experienced when God does not give us the Word, but when we do not hear or understand the Word of God in our sins and greed for the world. In the famine of life, we will live by fulfilling our satisfaction in sin and in the world. Isaiah 55:1 “Come, you who thirst, come to the waters, and he who has no money, come, buy and eat; come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” We invite those who have encountered spiritual famine like this, because the satisfaction of the soul can only be satisfied in the Lord. If you feel thirsty, come, if you feel thirsty, if your soul is thirsty, if you are thirsty, please come. I pray in the name of the Lord that our church can invite the world and make it into a beautiful church that testifies to the abundant life of Jesus.
