Content The church like a human body (1 Corinthians 12:12-31)
The Corinthian church was filled with the Holy Spirit. So the gift was given as a gift, and a dispute arose over the gift. So the Apostle Paul hastily wrote a letter to the church in Corinth, and appealed with earnestness. “You have all received the Holy Spirit and have become one through the blood of Jesus Christ. Why are you arguing! They are all one body!” In fact, the Corridor church was diverse in race, status, and occupation. In addition, the gifts were diverse, and there were people with various gifts such as tongues, prophecy, discernment of spirits, healing, wisdom and knowledge. But Paul emphasizes that all of them are necessary and important. Just as there are five organs, six parts, and four limbs in our body, but there are no unnecessary parts among them.
Also, Paul emphasizes that the church in Corinth is a place where diverse people with different personalities, tastes, and circumstances gather, but there is no difference between superiority and inferiority in diversity. . “I wish that person didn’t exist in our church… “We are people who need each other.
Who will we appoint as ordained deacons and priests in our church today? Let's raise up people who have been filled with the Holy Spirit and who have received various gifts. Choir member, teacher, parking/worship guide, dedication member, restaurant volunteer, etc. However, the gift of the Holy Spirit requires harmony of unity in the midst of diversity (verses 14-17). God has given four kinds of harmony to humans living on this earth. The first is harmony with oneself. The second is harmony with neighbors. The third is harmony with nature. The fourth is harmony with God. Some serve as a choir member, as a Sunday School teacher, as a finance member, as a parking attendant, or as a restaurant service member. All these services are harmonious and united for one purpose. “Glory to God!!” Who will you build today? Let's build a harmonious person! Let's raise up people who give glory to God!

In conclusion, the 13th chapter of 1 Corinthians, the famous chapter of love, is proclaimed, telling us to long for the greater gifts. It emphasizes that even if you are filled with the Holy Spirit and receive the gift, you are nothing if you do not receive the gift of love. If there is no love, the gifts received will clutter up the church and act as thorns. Let's receive the gift of love! Let's raise up those who have received the gift of love as church workers!
