It has incredible power to see clearly with my own eyes.(...) One is the train I saw in America. It seemed like it would take more than 5 minutes for everything to pass. It seemed so mysterious to drag more than 100 carriages and cargo bays. Another is a Boeing 747. The weight of the plane itself must be enormous, but it is so surprising that when the takeoff signal from the control tower drops, the huge object slowly floats into the air with about 400 passengers on board, all their cargo , and 500 drums of oil on each wing.
Today is our church's 50th birthday. And it is Pentecost Sunday. If you think about it, the power that has led our church for 50 years is not the power of people. It was the power of the Holy Spirit.(...) I believe that if our church is filled with the Holy Spirit and worships, prays, and evangelizes, it will take off higher than a Boeing 747 and become a church that glorifies God .
This morning, I would like to share the word and grace about the correct church view.
① The Lord loved the church.
The church is absolutely necessary to save this world. The Lord established the Church with the price of His blood.(...) The Lord loved His Church as a husband loves his wife. It is a sacrificial (...) love that cleanses (...), protects and nourishes us.
② The Lord tells us to love the church.
If we are moved and grateful for the love of the cross of the Lord, we must love the church. Christ is the head of the church, and the church is the body of Christ. The concrete expression of loving the invisible Christ is to love his church.(...) Because the church is the body of Christ, there should be no bloodshed or wounds.
③ The church should be a ‘place of comfort for my people’.
If you look at the 50 years of Shinchon Church, you built a church, evangelized, and served the church diligently. But the Lord says that's not all.(...) As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2005, our vision is to prepare the Grace Center, where 50% of our current expenses will be spent on missions and relief work. It is to receive grace through the church and share the grace received through the Grace Center. Amen.
