Title: Majesty of the Horse
Bible: Job 39:19-25
Life is something that cannot be changed even if you give the whole world. The home of this precious life is the kingdom of God. So, in order to gain the kingdom of God, we must have the courage and spirit of a horse. Imagine a horse running briskly across a wide field. I am envious, and the desire to run freely arises. No matter how great a person's spirit is, how can it be compared to the athleticism of a horse? Since time immemorial, horses have become an irreplaceable weapon on the battlefield of humans. He died while being loyal to people. The silent loyalty of these words teaches us believers in many ways.
First: Run strong.
"Did you give the horse power? Did you put on a mane that flew around his neck? Did you make it jump like grasshoppers? I'm afraid of his majestic nose." (Verses 19-20) Here we are talking about war horses going to war. The Hebrew word for 'strength', 'geburah', refers to a very powerful force, and it means the passion and excitement of a warhorse, as well as the fearless bravery and boldness. The 'mane' refers to the long hair on a horse's neck. The most distinguishing characteristic of horses is their brisk running. It is truly admirable to see them run all the way to the end without getting tired at all. The life of faith is a spiritual run. You have to run all the way to the end without getting tired.
Second: Don't be afraid.
“It was deceitful in the valley, and rejoicing in strength, and went forth to meet the soldiers, but laughed at fear and was not dismayed; and when struck by the sword, it did not back down” (verses 21-22). is expressed as a spur. The power of words lies in the confidence that you are not afraid of anything. It shows the majesty of a warhorse and the courage to charge aggressively. You risk your life and march forward without fear of the number of enemies or dangerous weapons. The steed never fears the enemy and never retreats from it. It is the spirit of a horse to decide to die and go to war.
Third: Follow the sound of the trumpet.
“At the sound of the trumpet, they weep a little; they smell the fighting from afar, and they hear the commanders’ shouts and clamors” (verse 25). It just moves. If you can't distinguish the minister's voice or hear any sounds, the value of your words decreases. It is important for believers to obey God's commands. The ultimate victory depends on whether you obey God's commands or not. Even if you are great and outstanding in the world, if you disobey God's commands, you will never become a man or a worker of God. You cannot be the person God uses. Therefore, we must give priority to God's commands and listen to God's Word.
