Title The Door That Leads to Life!
Contents
“Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and many go in by it, for the gate is narrow and the road is narrow that leads to life, and few find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)
The door that leads to life is like the door of the sheep. The sheep gate is a narrow gate through which two sheep cannot enter together, but only one sheep.
The road leading to this gate is also a strait road where only one can go, not two.
Therefore, the road to life is strait and narrow, and the old and new people cannot go through together, nor can they enter together. This is the way of the strait cross where the Lord has gone before, and the narrow gate through which the Lord has entered through the torn veil. It is as it is written, “The way is a new and living way which he has opened for us through the veil, and the veil is his flesh” (Hebrews 10:20).
That's why the Bible says, "Put off the old man and put on the new man..." for those who will walk this road and pass through this gate. No one can walk the strait road leading to life and pass through the narrow gate that leads to life without putting off the old man.
Therefore, the Bible says, “What is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit,” and again, “Blood and flesh cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor do perishable things inherit incorruption.”
That is why the Bible says, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able” (Luke 13:24). You can never go through this strait road and this narrow gate without dealing with the old man of flesh.
It is written, “And he said to the crowds, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23).
The kingdom of God is not the place where I, the old man, enter, but the place where I, the new man, enter.
Therefore, the kingdom of God is not “my kingdom and my righteousness” but “his kingdom and his righteousness”. As it is written, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). It is “a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells,” in which the new man dies and the new man is raised with Christ, and the new man enters with Christ.
In the testified words, “I know a man who is in Christ, who was taken up to the third heaven fourteen years ago (whether he was in the body or out of the body, I do not know, but God knows) I know such a man (whether he was in the body or out of the body). Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know, but God knows) He was taken away into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which no man can utter.” (2 Corinthians 12:2-4) It is not the old man who enters the kingdom, but the “he” who enters, “the one in Christ,” freed from sin and a slave to God.
As it is written, “Therefore Jesus said again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the gate of the sheep” (John 10:7). Because it is a narrow door that you can enter.
Therefore, we offer thanksgiving and whole burnt offerings to God our Father in Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, who leads and leads through this narrow gate and leads and leads through this narrow gate for many who seek to enter but cannot. Amen, thank you Lord.
