Text: Exodus 23:19, Nehemiah 10:35-39
Believers who believe in God must serve God with dignity. However, there was a time when the Israelites neglected to serve God carelessly. This is what Malachi 1:8 says about him.
“How is it not evil that you offer me things that are blind, lame, or sick, saith the LORD of hosts?” (See Leviticus 22:22ff.)
God also likes good things. You have to give them leftovers, horned things, but instead of healthy cows or sheep, they don't like ugly, dry, sloppy things that lose their hair and cost less. There is a saying in Korean that if it is possible, it is a red skirt.
In the Bible, we can see that God cares about the first things, blesses them, seeks them, and makes them His own.
Exodus 23:16 says, “You shall observe the Feast of Harvest, for you have reaped the firstfruits of what you sowed in the field.”
Neh 10:35 says, “Yearly the firstborn of our land and the firstfruits of every tree we were to offer to the house of the Lord. Bring the firstborn of the seed to the house of God and give it to the priests.” Then in verse 37, “Then the firstfruits of the faith, new wine, and oil were brought to the priests, and placed in the inner chambers of the house of God; to the priestly tribe).” In addition, verse 38 says, “When the Levites receive the tithe, do not take it all, but take another tenth of the tithe and put it in God's barn...and use it to serve God.” Even if you give a tithe, you have to pay 1/10 first and use 9/10, not 1/10. Because it is the first one.
In Leviticus 27:26, “The firstborn of livestock is the first to be given to the Lord, and it belongs to the Lord, both cattle and sheep.” is. God likes the first of good things. to give it to you.
You should listen carefully. The first thing we should give?
1. First day of the week (Sunday)
In the Old Testament times, the end of a week was the Sabbath. (Leviticus 23:7, Num 28:18)
In the New Testament era, the first day of the week becomes the Sunday (the Lord's Day). The first day was already prophesied in Leviticus 28:7 and Num. 28:18 in the Old Testament. “On the first day you will gather for a holy assembly” (Leviticus 28:7), and Num 28:18 says, “On the first day you will gather for a holy assembly”. As prophesied, in the New Testament era, ① Jesus’ resurrection took place on the first day after the Sabbath (Mark 16:9; Matt 28:1) ② Saints gathered and worshiped with the Lord’s Supper on the first day after the Sabbath (Acts 20:7) ③ The saints gathered on the first Sunday, the first day, to give offerings.
Dear brothers and sisters, the first day of the Sunday holy water is dedicated to God. It is to live a blessed week through the holy water on Sunday.
2. Firstfruits of Income (Income)
Numbers 18:12 says, “They have given you the firstfruits of the LORD, the best oil and the best wine and grain”. You must give the firstfruits to God.
① First fruits of income ② First fruits of salary ③ First fruits of business
3. Firstfruits Morning Prayer Meeting (Time)
You should not only give your income or days, but also your time.
The first hour of the day is the first fruit we give to God. Therefore, you must fulfill all three of the following or any of the first of them: (1) give the first hour of dawn to the Lord every day (2) give the first hour of dawn to the Lord every week (3) every month You must choose whether to give the first hour of the morning to the Lord on the 1st (first day). So, starting in June, we are going to start with all of you who love the “Yellow Sae Movement”. ‘The Ten Sae Movement’ is an abbreviation of the First Fruits Early Morning Prayer Meeting, and starting in June, the early morning prayer meeting is held on the first day (1st) of every month, and the early morning prayer meeting during the first week (4th to 8th: 5 days of the following week).
‘Ten Sae’ is the movement to open the prayer door, the door of repentance, the movement to open the gate of heaven, and the movement to open the blessing at dawn. The slogan is “Open at dawn” and “Be diligent at dawn”. God said. “I will wake up the dawn”, “I will help the dawn”. If you give the morning hours to God, that day will be victorious. It will make you miserable. Faith matures.
If you want to take a break from praying in the morning or after a while, you can pray harder to overcome the obstacles and win the spiritual warfare.
Now, if you come to God who helps you at dawn and give the first hour of your day, I bless you in the name of the Lord that your spirituality will be upgraded to the next level.
“In the early morning, Jesus got up and went out to a secluded place, where he prayed” (Mark 1:35).
