Title The Forsaken Voice/Matthew 27:45-46
Content *** The Forsaken Voice (Matthew 27:45-46) ***
Jesus Christ prayed for those who persecuted him.
He also promised life to the thief who saves lives at the last minute.
And he made a special request to his disciples for his mother.
And a few hours later, suddenly something strange happened.
At 12 noon, the whole world went dark.
In the pitch-black darkness, there was a constant moan and a scream.
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
These are the fourth words of Jesus Christ on the cross.
This morning, we want to understand the meaning of these words.
Some say he lost his mind on the cross and was bullshit.
It's not like that.
Jesus never lost his mind for a moment.
You did everything so calmly (Forgiveness, Paradise, Mother).
Others say that Jesus was in so much pain that he unknowingly leaked out of his lips.
no.
Jesus willingly gave his life and willingly endured all suffering for you and me.
But Jesus, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? You said.
If there is one greatest tragic saying in the world, it is being abandoned.
But Jesus was rejected by God.
God, who is love, has never forsaken anyone.
David says God is my refuge.
When the people of Israel were afflicted, God said that I would never leave you or forsake you.
Even when he was helpless before the Red Sea, he did not forsake him.
When Daniel was thrown into the lions' den, God never forsakes him.
David said that when he was old, he did not see God forsake the righteous.
Nevertheless, Jesus Christ was crucified and was actually rejected by God.
Jesus Christ, who always obeyed God's will, had fellowship with God, and carried out God's work, and Jesus Christ, who lived according to God's providence and always pleased God, was abandoned.
Why did you throw it away?
What did you throw away?
It is because of our sins and faults.
Our sins have separated Jesus Christ from God.
God is holy and righteous who cannot tolerate sin.
For this reason, he had no choice but to forsake Jesus Christ, who bore all human errors and sins.
God never forsook Jesus for his sins.
It was just thrown away because of our fault.
The reason Jesus suffered was because he was truly abandoned by God.
This is the reason why he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, saying, “Let this cup pass from me.”
It's not just about death on the cross.
I am not talking about being abandoned by the disciples.
I'm not talking about denying that a close friend doesn't know.
I'm not talking about simply getting hit by a chit and getting fat.
That is what it means to say goodbye to God.
It was painful for God to turn his back on him.
Separation from God was the greatest pain for Jesus Christ.
His people clamored for his blood.
The soldiers mocked him and struck him with a whip with nine strings.
They beat Jesus and spit in his face.
Hands and feet were pierced with nails and placed on a cross.
Despite suffering so much at the hands of men, he did not say a word in return.
But when God's wrath fell on Jesus, who bore the burden of sin, he cried out, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
It is because of this desperate abandonment that we have not been abandoned.
There are a few things we must keep in mind here.
that is
1. It is the truth that sinners are never acceptable to God.
It is absolutely unacceptable except for the cross of Jesus.
2. The faith of Jesus did not waver (my God)
3. It is through the abandonment of Jesus Christ that we have not been forsaken.
The fact is that you are saved.
Now, remembering that the words of Jesus Christ’s suffering are because of us, our family, and all mankind, I am grateful and moved with all my heart, following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ with all my heart and fulfilling the great request (evangelism, love). And I bless you all in the name of the Lord.
