Title [The Fruit of Truth]
2014. 11. 2 Sunday morning sermon
.
Bible: Luke 8:11-15
Title: Fruit of Truth
.
.
All parables of sowing are contained in the Synoptic Gospels (Mark 4; Luke 8:). The seed is the word and the field is compared to the human heart. What is unusual is that the sowing method in Israel was to sow the seeds first, then plow the field, and then lightly cover the soil to preserve the seeds.
After harvesting in April, the land was left until sowing in October, so there were times when people passed by and a road came through, and it is said that the ground was usually full of gravel. I would like to consider the Word under the theme of <The Fruit of the Truth>.
.
1. Four types of state of mind receiving the Word
.
The four states of mind exemplified in verses 5-8 of this chapter are,
1) Roadside 2) Rock 3) Thorn 4) It comes out to good soil.
.
Falling on the road means that the devil is reaping the word because it is heard with worldly thoughts. Falling on a rock or hinge means hearing with joy but not adapting to life. A field of thorns is fruitful because of the worries of the world and the heart that pursues worldly happiness. The poor and good land means the field of the heart where all worldly feelings are not disturbed by hearing the truth and trying to keep it.
.
If there is something peculiar, the first seed sown along the road, which is the field of the heart, is the text of Luke 8:12 '.. The devil ... takes the word from his heart.' (Matthew 13:19 'The wicked one', Mark 4:15 ') Satan'). Said.
Secularism is the desire of the devil, the one who holds the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2). Reliefism or general religious understanding that seeks to understand Christian truth in a secular way will not receive the grace of the Gospel. Because the devil likes such a heart, there is no salvation even if we hear the gospel.
.
The condition of our hearts in which we receive the truth is a similar condition. Just like the sowing law in Israel, we encourage people to believe and obey after preaching the Word in such a way as to sow the seed and then till the field. When they heard the same gospel and were pierced in their conscience in the same way as the seed of the word, they repented on the one hand and refuted on the other (Acts 2:37, 7:54-).
.
2. The purpose of sowing is to bear fruit
.
The fruit of the truth is salvation in which people first hear the gospel and gain eternal life. The next step is to show the fruits of truth in your life. Every week we sow the seeds of the gospel tremendously. They also receive seeds the following week or several times a week. The problem is that the seed has to grow and bear fruit.
.
The purpose of sowing is to obtain 30-fold, 60-fold, and 100-fold fruit (Mark 4:8). The purpose of preaching and evangelism is that the results of salvation through the truth of God, that is, the change of life along with the change of soul, must appear. Worship and missions without change are meaningless.
.
Luke 8:15 He said, “These are in the good soil, those who hear the word with an honest and good heart, keep it, and bear fruit with patience.” It is a heart that has done its best to keep the Word. This process of perseverance is no exception to anyone.
.
As a person who has been born again by hearing the Word, as God's people, the field of the heart of a person whose life's magic has become the truth must always prepare gently, participate in worship, and listen to the Word.
Ezekiel 36:26 “And I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove the heart of hardness from your flesh and give you a heart of tenderness.”
Hebrews 13:9 says, “Do not be drawn to many different doctrines, it is a beautiful thing that the heart is strengthened by grace…”
.
When we earnestly seek the influence of the Holy Spirit and come to the Lord with a heart of grace, counting on the grace that God has given us, we want to receive the seed of the word of life and plant it in our hearts.
