Title The Glorious Future of Zion / Isaiah 60
The glorious future of Zion
Isaiah 60
1. The salvation of the Gentiles and the restoration of Zion (1-9)
① Reasons for Gentiles to return to Zion (1-3)
The glory of Zion comes only from the glory of God.
The light from God is the risen Christ.
② The scene of the return of the stranger (4-7)
It is prophesied that the Gentile peoples living near or far from Israel will come to Zion with their precious gifts.
③ Israel from afar also returned (8-9)
As God glorifies Israel, the nations will come and offer gifts.
2. Zion served by the Gentiles (10-14)
① Gentiles serving Zion (10)
After returning from captivity, the converted Gentiles will help rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, and furthermore, the Gentiles will cooperate in serving the spiritual Jerusalem, that is, the church.
② Submission of kings and accompanying offerings (11-12)
Its gates are always open and not closed day or night, but the nations will come in there with their gifts. On the other hand, a nation that does not serve Israel will perish.
③ Reproduction of Solomon's era (13-14)
The glory of Zion to be restored will be compared to that of Solomon's past. Thus the reign of God will be transformed into a realm of beauty and joy that the world will adore.
3. The promise of blessing to Zion (15-22)
① Jehovah the Redeemer of Zion (15-16)
In the past, Israel was nothing more than a forsaken and hated person, but as God becomes the Redeemer, Almighty, and Savior, eternal beauty and joy abound in Israel.
② Zion, who stands firm in peace and impartiality (17-18)
God rules Zion on the basis of peace.
God reigns in Zion through impartiality.
③ Jehovah, the light of Zion (19-20)
Isaiah says that God glorifies Zion.
④ Zion to prosper (21-22)
God said that Israel was the branch I planted and made by me, and he said that he would show my glory.
Israel will possess the land forever
The little one will make a thousand, and the weak will make a powerful nation.
