Title The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)

Contents 1. Five kinds of people In the parable of the good Samaritan, five kinds of human life are shown as shown in the picture. ① The life of a gangster ② The life of a robber ③ The life of a priest and a Levite ④ The life of a good Samaritan ⑤ The life of a tavern owner. A spiritual comparison of the contents of this parable is as follows. The man who was met by robbers - Adam Jerusalem - the kingdom of Jericho - The robbers of the world - Satan and the devil priests - Representatives of the law Levites - Prophets Good Samaritans - Christ's inn - Church two denarii - The promise of the return of the Father and the Holy Spirit - The Second Coming of the Lord

(1) The unrighteous life of rogues Literally, the years we are living in are rough years, and the road we are walking on is a very rough road. There are many robbers, thugs, thieves, and villains who hide in the hills with knives to steal people's lives and property. Not only that, but there is Satan, a rogue who seeks to plunge the souls of men into destruction. This Satan is a rogue who harms people more than anything else.

(2) The life of a poor man who met a rookie This man met a horrific group and fell unhappily like this. There are many who fall on this path of life. Even in our society today, there are many people who fall because of robbers. People who encounter disasters overnight, people who are ill, people who have been betrayed by friends, and people who meet such robbers can be seen all over the world. The man who was struck by the robber was originally going down the road to Jericho. However, on the way, he met a robber and was beaten so many times that he could not make any sacrifices on his own. The road from Jerusalem to Jericho is only 60 li, but 60 li is a hill road that is inclined at an angle of 15 degrees, and there are about 40 hills in the middle, so it is also called the road of bandits. The road down to Jericho was really rough. As such, the path of our life must be a rough road. It can be called the path of confession. Along this path, many people get to a point where they cannot make sacrifices on their own.

(5) Life of the owner of the inn The owner of the inn was paid by a good Samaritan and took care of the man who was hit by a robber. Even if this is not the best love, it must be a precious life. If we compare the love of the good Samaritan to the love of Jesus, the love of the tavern owner can be compared to the love of the church members. In any case, our faith also needs the service of mutual communion, like a paid tavern owner. Among the above five types of life, where do we belong?

3. Three things from love

(1) There are three things that we have gained through love. First, we have gained human life. To save a person's life is better than obtaining riches and more than obtaining fame. This person's life cannot be influenced by anything but the power of love.

(2) Second, getting your neighbor as your own is a valuable result. Love is what makes an enemy a neighbor, and envy is what makes a neighbor an enemy. Confucius said that without a neighbor you cannot live, and without a neighbor you cannot do anything. If we spread the love of the Lord and gain many brothers and sisters of the Lord, what better miracle than this?

(3) Third, eternal life. Verse 25 records the passage where the lawyer asked Jesus, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” To this question, the Lord answered, “Love God and love your neighbor as yourself; if you do these things, you will live.” If you love, the Lord will give you eternal life. To love means to believe. There are many people in our neighborhood who are groaning at the diagonal line. You can easily find the poor robber. But Confucius passes with reproach, and Shakya passes with sympathy. The law passes through judgment. But only Jesus stays and saves. I pray in the name of the Lord that all of you who have received the love of Jesus may become good Samaritans who save people and save their neighbors with the love of the Lord.
