Title The Good Shepherd (John 10:11-15)

Contents In the Bible, the relationship between God and his people is often described as that of a shepherd and sheep. In Psalm 23:1, he confesses that the Lord is my shepherd, and I will not lack anything. In Psalm 100:3, he We are his Maker, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the sheep and the shepherd are inextricably linked. I pray in this temple.

May the congregation of the Lord not be like sheep without a shepherd.

The situation of the sheep without a shepherd is an unpredictable, unpredictable, and defenseless state. It is a very dangerous situation. The prophet Ezekiel expressed the plight of the sheep without a shepherd like this (Ezek.

Without a shepherd, they were scattered and scattered, and they became food for all the beasts of the field.

Sheep without a shepherd, the most pitiful sheep in the world must be the sheep without a shepherd. In Matthew 9:36, Jesus saw the people suffering and wandering like a sheep without a shepherd and was embarrassed. Just imagine. Now, how pathetic and frustrating would it be to assume that the house is on fire and the exit is blocked? It happened in Jeju, where I was a evangelist. He is now 20 years old. When we think of the age of 20, we can think of words such as hope, youth, possibility, and hope. But his way out was blocked. .He couldn't find a clue to the problem anywhere. He was a poor sheep wandering around without a shepherd.

Our times are like this. Education overflows wherever we go. But there is no teacher. We have lost a teacher. The Israelites in today's text also lost their shepherds and were wandering around. You said it clearly and firmly. [I am the Good Shepherd] It was a wonderful and important message. It was a very vivid message to the nomads who lived their lives while tending sheep at that time.

I am the Good Shepherd E C Z E J M J P Q P J M H N P X A L P S Ego Amy Ho Poimen Ho Callos

According to the grammar of Greek, even without a subject, the person could be expressed only by changing the ending. However, when a very strong emphasis was placed on it, the subject was used. The Lord now uses the subject ego with a strong tone; = Yes. Yes. Jesus Christ, who alone is our hope, our shepherd and our teacher. He is our good shepherd. There is no way out, It is Jesus Christ who becomes our good shepherd by giving hope, hope, life, and victory to us today who are wandering around like sheep without a shepherd without finding a clue to a solution, and to us who have no hope .

What is a teacher? These are people who stand in Jesus' place where Jesus Christ stands. Teachers are God's ambassadors sent to students. According to Calvin, they are ambassadors. The position of teachers is so important. It should be a time for all of our teachers who are offering today's teacher dedication service, to realize the importance of teachers again at this time and to dedicate this time as faithful servants and make a decision. From now on, we are the Good Shepherd. You must become a shepherd. The Lord, who is the Good Shepherd today, has given us some teachings.

First, it teaches that the good shepherd is a shepherd who knows the sheep well. The good shepherd knows the sheep well. We start. We cannot educate without knowing the students who are the subject of education. In verse 3 of the text, when the Lord, the Shepherd, calls us, he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. The Good Shepherd knows sheep well. I know it, but I know it very specifically. My dear teachers, how much do we know our students?

In the Bible, the expression to know means to build a deep relationship with each other. There is something we must do in the arena of our education. It is the formation of trust that teaches by love and learns by faith. The sheep and the shepherd are in a relationship of trust and follow. In the first part of verse 4, it says that the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. We should all be good shepherds by teaching with love and building trusting relationships where we learn by faith.

Second, the good shepherd teaches that the sheep must be an example. Students never learn by words. Students and children learn by watching. Our children do what they do. So an education that is not modeled is a dead education. .The good shepherd is the one who gets ahead. If he goes ahead, the sheep follow him. The Bible has something very strong to say to us today. is. Yes. We must earn the respect of our students. We must challenge them to live the same life as our teachers in their minds. Of course, this is not easy. We are all poor.

However, the Lord who has become our Good Shepherd and knows us so well has called us despite our shortcomings. We are not alone anymore. We are with you. So we should pray like this.

Lord, I lack. My life could not be the goal of the students, nor could I be an example. However, I am convinced that if the Lord is with me, I can become a good shepherd not by my own strength but by the strength of the Lord. Lord make me a good shepherd

When we pray so hard and show our loyalty, we will be able to become servants who are respected by students and accepted by God, and thus used.

Third, the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Verses 11 and 12 say, ? am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep, but the wager is not the shepherd, and the sheep are not his own.

Then in verse 14, I am the good shepherd; in the second half of verse 15, I lay down my life for the sheep.

Our Lord, our shepherd, has already come to this earth to lay down his life for the sheep. And the text says that he will lay down his life for his people, who wander like sheep without a shepherd. Our Lord died purely for the sheep. He died to put an end to our wanderings. To end our suffering and our anguish, our Lord bore the cross. Forgive us all our sins and give us a new hope. and our Lord sacrificed thoroughly to show the new kingdom. In doing so, our Lord was victorious and became our eternal Shepherd.

Dear teachers, the very Jesus Christ has called us now. Our Lord has called us and desires us to be the Good Shepherd. In spite of our disobedience, laziness, and disloyalty, the Lord calls us. You called.
