I. What is conscience?
In the text, David is suffering indescribable conscience. Verse 4 Simply put, our personality is made up of five characteristics. ① The rational function of thinking ② The volitional function of setting goals in life ③ The conscientious function of judgment of good and evil ④ The function of feeling warm ⑤ The function of spirituality. The problem is the rational function. The volitional function completely drives my life. gives strength But the conscience is not. terribly rebuke threaten Fear, anxiety, shame, frustration, exhaustion, etc. in many cases haunt me. Though not perfect, the conscience is the remnant of the image, likeness, and Holy Spirit of God. It is often the mouth, eyes, and hands of God. So the pain of conscience is the intervention of God who loves me and makes me repent. Clearly, it is the role of God's mouth, eyes, and hands in leading the elect to repentance.
II. What is the sin that leads to thorough repentance?
In verse 1 of the text, the word trespass and the word sin are distinguished. Sin means that the sign of “Hamaltia” is crooked, and that the right relationship with God is crooked is the meaning of fundamental sin in the Bible. To say that Adam sinned is not a moral, ethical, or social sin. Rebellion against God was that sin. As a result, ethical, moral and social faults are derived.
Ⅲ. Repentance accepted before God
It refers to the confession that comes from the wrath, bitterness, hopelessness, and desperate realization of Hamaltia mentioned above. There must be pain, sorrow, sorrow to die for, and the cry of wanting to live. Not like Paul in Romans 7, and not like Judas Iscariot. Like Peter, the object of repentance must be clear. At that time, the emotions of Romans 8:1~9,5:1~2, light of problem solving, freedom, and glory will come.
Sometimes my conscience, the devil, Bible verses, and sermons also reveal my past and cause pain. It is often God's way to deeper grace. At such times, do not forget yourself and look to the cross. If you don't like the dark, turn it on. If you don't want to cry, smile. If you don't want to be sick, take the medicine. If you want to do well on the exam, study. If you have spare time to worry about sin, look at the cross. Immerse yourself in grace
