Title The Holy Spirit (Ephesians 03:14-21)
Content 1. Grace of the Holy Spirit
When we pray, the Holy Spirit works in our hearts. Prayer is a means for the help, guidance, and filling of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, when we pray, we should ask, “Come, Holy Spirit”, “Holy Spirit, be with us”, “Spirit, work on me (or among us)”.
Before ascending to heaven, Jesus made a request to his disciples (Acts 1:4). Relying on this word, I devoted all my strength to prayer for 10 days (Acts 1:14).
Acts 1:4 - They gathered together with the apostles and commanded them, saying, "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you have heard from me.
Acts 1:14 - Together with the women, Mary the mother of Jesus, and the brothers of Jesus, they devoted themselves to prayer at all.
This prayer was different from what the people of Israel had prayed until then. It was different from the prayers of Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Hannah, David, Samuel, and Daniel. This prayer was a prayer of longing for and waiting for what the Father had promised. It was a prayer filled with the Holy Spirit. From Genesis to the Gospel of John, we prayed for various motives, but from the book of Acts, we prayed to receive the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13, Acts 2:4). Therefore, everyone who prayed received one grace. It was the coming of the Holy Spirit.
If what all the chosen people have gained through prayer before Pentecost is grace like a candle, the grace of Pentecost is the grace of the sun that never goes out. If the prayers before Pentecost are one tree of grace, the answer to the prayers in Acts is the grace of the Pacific Ocean.
Therefore, it is not important how long you prayed, how much you prayed, whether you prayed well or often, but whether you prayed and received the Holy Spirit.
Cornelius prayed all the time, but the Holy Spirit was received when Peter preached (Acts 10:44).
Acts 10:44 - As Peter was speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.
① The Holy Spirit strengthens us (Ephesians 3:16). Inner man - strengthens the soul.
Ephesians 3:16 - According to the riches of his glory, through his Spirit he strengthens those in you with power,
② The Holy Spirit gives us power (Acts 1:8).
Prayer → Sang Rung → Power
All living things have an invisible power. Without power, you are dead. In spring, the invisible energy of all trees causes buds, leaves, flowers, and fruits.
③ The Holy Spirit glorifies the children of God. He sanctifies (1 Corinthians 3:16, Romans 8:18).
The king of the world only dresses well, eats well, lives well, and enjoys wealth and power, but those under his rule endure hardship, hardship, and poverty, and eventually die by giving their lives to be reborn. But the kingdom of God is God, so that his people will prosper and prosper with him.
We don't know what our problem is. Since we have lost all the power to see and heal ourselves, the Holy Spirit must come to watch over us, heal us, and heal us.
