Title The One Who Gives You Refreshment
Contents
Hymn: 394 "Those Who Long for the Lord"
Meditation: Do we live and experience God every day, who gives us refreshment?
Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed
Text: “But those who wait in the Lord will find new strength, and they will soar up like eagles on wings” (Isaiah 40:27-31).
Word: The God we believe in and confess is the God who gives us new strength. A person who is good in the life of faith does not know fatigue and leads a powerful life. People all over the world say they are tired even when they sleep a lot. However, believers are full of vitality even though they do morning prayer and do not fall into the all-night prayer meeting. Unbelievers live by saying they are tired every day. They say that they are tired while enjoying good cars and all kinds of cultural facilities and benefits.
But those who believe live a life full of refreshment every day. Because God gives you new strength. The psalmist confesses, “O LORD, my strength, I love you” (Psalm 18:1).
Today's text also says that he gives strength to the weary and strength to the weak (verse 29). Even a boy is weary and weary, and even a young man stumbles, but only those who wait on the Lord find new strength (verses 30-31). It will not stop there, but it will be like an eagle soaring up on its wings, and it will run and not get weary. Those who look to the Lord of power will find new strength. How, then, are we to gain this new strength?
First, we must pray. Prayer is the secret to refreshment. Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, Elijah, Peter, and the Apostle Paul were also refreshed by praying when they fell tired and fell. Prayer is the secret to gaining God's strength. Those who always pray find refreshment.
Second, we must wait on the Lord. Destiny is determined by what a person looks at. Just looking at the material is infinitely tiring. That is why people who are greedy for money complain that it is the hardest.
Third, we receive refreshment by eating the Word of God. The Word of God is alive and active. The Word gives us new strength more than any other medicine in the world. So, through the Word, believers receive new strength every day and lead a powerful life.
Prayer: Almighty God, give me strength in my powerlessness. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
