Confucianism and Buddhism teach ethics, but they do not give the answer to life. Confucius himself acknowledged the inability to overcome death, and Shakyamuni told us to simply accept death. However, the Christian Jesus Christ went beyond teaching the way and said that He is the way, the truth, and the life. He directly said, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me will live even if they die, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die” (John 11:25). If we analyze the words of Jesus, he must be either completely crazy or truly the Son of God and the ruler of life. But Jesus proved that he was God by his miracles, healing the sick, raising the dead, and walking on water.
Furthermore, he showed himself to be the master of life by resurrecting on the third day after he died on the cross. When Jesus died on the cross, the disciples were scattered in fear. But when the resurrected Lord appeared before them, even the skeptical Thomas confessed, “My Lord and my God.” After that, the Lord stayed on the earth for 40 days and showed Himself and ascended to heaven. Now, the disciples and numerous witnesses who saw the Lord ascending to heaven were filled with hope and conviction that they too would live forever like the Lord, and they gathered together to pray. And I received the Holy Spirit and power. Even Peter, who had previously denied not knowing Jesus out of fear, became bold. I commanded the lame man to get up and walk in the name of Jesus Christ in front of people, and the lame man was healed right away. Had he believed that Jesus was a lie, he would not have been able to command with such boldness and could not be corrected. Also, in today's text, Peter and John boldly testified of the resurrection of Jesus in front of the religious leaders who threatened them. Because I was sure. Peter goes further and asserts that there is no other name by which we can be saved except Jesus.
Dear saints, the reason we have to preach the gospel is because Jesus still lives and only He gives life. No other religion conveys life so clearly. The Christian gospel is proud to give life. Let's be proud In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that you and I will save souls and please God by obeying the word of preaching the gospel in season or out of season.
