Title The Second Creation/Isaiah 42:1 3
Contents Old Testament Words: Isaiah 42:1 3
"Look at my servant. He is the one I sustain. The one whom I have chosen, the one with whom I rejoice in my heart. I have given him my spirit, and he will do justice to the nations. He will cry out He will not lift up, and his voice will not be heard in the streets, he will not break a bruised reed, he will not quench a smoldering lamp, he will do justice with the truth, Amen.
From the Epistles: Acts 10:36-38
God sent a word to the children of Israel, proclaiming peace through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is Lord of all. As you know, this work was done in all Judea, starting in Galilee after John's baptismal ministry was over. God poured out the Holy Spirit and power on Jesus of Nazareth. This Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. Because God was with him. Amen.
Words of the Gospels: Mark 1:9-11, 14-15
At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan River. As Jesus was just coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Holy Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from the sky. "You are my beloved son. I like you."
After John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee and preached the gospel of God. "The time is fulfilled. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent. Believe the gospel." Amen
