Title The Second Life/Phil 1:22-24
Contents The second life/Philippians 1:22-24
This morning's message is titled 󰡔Second Life󰡕 is the title.
We Christians have a first life and a second life in this world.
In order to live happily in the world, to be accepted by everyone, to be praised by God, and to receive a reward, we must live in the second life.
The Apostle Paul said, “If I live in the flesh, I live with Christ; and if I die in the flesh, I live with Christ, then with Christ, and then with Christ. helpful.
But if I say that living on this earth is for you, I will be sandwiched between them and I will live.”
The Greek word for being caught is “shnekomai.” This word in English means I am in strait, which means that I stand upright, I cannot lean to one side, I cannot go backwards, and I stand upright and look forward.
It is a confession that living with Christ in the flesh and being with Christ when we die are stuck between the two and are going straight.
Paul's life has two beginnings.
First, the beginning of life is in Cilicia Tarsus.
He was a human born of a physical lineage in Tarsus, Cilicia.
He obviously started his first life here
The beginning of the second life was on the road to Damascus.
He is showing us that he is living a new life through Christ on the road to Damascus, where his second life began. Paul realized. I was arrested as a wicked criminal on the road to Damascus, and it is only by the grace of God that I am alive now. How was my conduct different from being caught on the spot when I was a murder robber? Even an attempted murderer is treated like a murderer, so why did he save me as a person of grace? Now what I have lived is the second life that I was reborn into a new life on the road to Damascus. Once upon a time, the first born in Tarsus, Cilicia, died in Damascus, and the second was born again there. Therefore, the beginning of my second life is Jesus Christ.
The life I have lived so far and the life I will live in the future is the second life I was born through Jesus Christ on the Damascus road.
Everyone! This is an unforgettable event in Paul's heart.
I gave up all of his first life, when he was born from his ancestors, his social leadership, his knowledge, his honor, Roman citizenship, fame as a scholar, and the ability to live proudly as a person with authority. He started with Jesus and he is living today.
Born as a descendant of Adam, who inherited original sin, Paul died on the road to Damascus.
We are living a new life born again through Jesus, who came to give us atonement and salvation. Now, we are confessing that we are living in the one way, living with Christ even when we live in the flesh, and living with Christ even when we die.
Paul's second life is a confession that, starting with Christ, he is now a runner of faith, aiming for the kingdom of heaven, and running hand in hand with Jesus, aiming for the crown. How can we commit more sins in the past? He was running as a racer to commit a crime. He was running towards the world of darkness.
Now we are running towards the glorious kingdom of heaven. In the past, he had wandered the broad road, but now the Lord is leading him, even though it is a narrow path, and he lives with gratitude in his heart and rejoices at the fact that the Lord's power and shield's hand are defending and protecting me like a rock wall.
As a warrior in the good fight, Paul sings the victory song every day and sings the song like a soldier advancing toward the final victory. Paul is with the Lord, both in joy and in pain, to live and die, and to live is Christ, and to die is Christ. To live is Christ, and to die is gain. Now there is nothing but profit for me. There is no loss for me. I have nothing to lose now. I have lost everything I have lost, so I died in Jesus. Now, in the resurrection of Christ Jesus, I am born as the second life, and in the second life, as a victorious warrior, as a runner of faith, I run to the final goal, singing the victory song Now, he is confessing with gratitude that he is running towards the glorious crown.
Now Paul confesses that living, life itself, is Christ. It is a confession that Paul's second life began with Jesus, and now he is living by following the guidance of Jesus. You have no right to go back. You cannot turn left or right, you can only look at the sign and move forward according to the Lord's guidance.
The carriage follows as the locomotive pulls, and Paul speaks of a being who is now following as the Lord leads. So Paul exclaims. I'm running as fast as I can, and they say I've followed you to the destination. So, reaching the last point, he confesses this while looking at the appearance of the Lord waiting for him.
In 2 Timothy 4:7-8, he says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith; from now on there is prepared for me the crown of righteousness.” How wonderful is this life? Those who live with Jesus every day! Those who look to the crown of righteousness and live as runners in good works! Like a soldier who sings the song of victory every day, those who praise and rejoice in the victory song! How nice and happy are you?
Someone asked John Wesley: If God calls you tomorrow at 12 o'clock, what will you prepare for today? I asked. He replied, 'I will live as usual. I have nothing to prepare and I will live as usual.’ Life with Christ! Eat with the Lord, even if you do not eat, with the Lord even in sick and sad situations, with the Lord at every breath, when you close your eyes completely, get up with the Lord This is a life that opens your eyes, closes your eyes in the evening with Jesus, and lives fully with Christ! Wesley, who lives a life following the guidance of Jesus! No, how could he be the only one?
How could it be just Paul?
Do you have a second life? Is there a Damascus icon?
I hope that the early morning prayer meeting on the 40th this time will be an opportunity for you to reaffirm and reaffirm your second life. Jesus Christ is the beginning of my second life. Christ is my beginning and my end, and Christ is my Alpha and Omega. I am in Jesus no matter how painful, happy, strong or sick I am. Everything in my life is in your hands. How can we not fall when the two hands of the Lord God's holy power support us like a rocky wall with walls on both sides of it? I pray that you can only look ahead and run.
Now, in the second life, may we be filled with the Lord every day, full of love, full of grace, full of the overflowing glory of Christ Jesus, and filled with the grace of the Holy Spirit promised, so that we do not think of our own dead past. Even if I think about it now, I only think of the Lord, I only think of the grace of the Lord, and when I look, I see only the Lord, Jesus becomes my goal, and Jesus Christ becomes my last goal, so I wake up and live the second life with the full life of Christ Jesus. What a happy person sleeping! Hallelujah!
Let's close our eyes.
Are you living the second life that was born through Jesus?
Are you living with the Lord now, following the Lord's guidance?
A life that follows Jesus is a good life. Do you sing victorious triumphs every day?
Or are you wandering left and right like those who are depressed every day, with no joy, loss of goals, and unclear purpose in life?
I bless you in the name of the Lord to reconfirm your second life on this opportunity and to have a new beginning.
Let's pray together with one voice.
Lord! Thank you.
Thank you so much for loving us and calling us this morning.
God our Father! We pray that all of you in our first life may die individually in Jesus on the road to Damascus. God our Father! Truly thanks and praise. Truly honor and praise.
I earnestly pray that all of us, like the apostle Paul, live by singing triumphal songs every day. Father God! May we live as runners in the good fight and as victors every day, just as you have given us today. Father God! As warriors of the good fight, we pray that you will grant us the amazing ability to sing the hymn of victory and return to gold.
Paul was with the Lord whether he was awake, in joy, or in pain. I lived with the Lord. Oh! Lord! May our lives be Christ Jesus! Heavenly Father! We earnestly desire that we may all begin with Christ Jesus, begin with Christ Jesus, end with Christ Jesus, and live forever with Christ Jesus.
Father God! Thank you very much.
Thank you for allowing us to have a second life. Thank you for letting Jesus die on the cross for the first life of our ancestors so that we do not live as descendants of Adam who inherited our sins.
Thank you so much that our second life began in the resurrected Jesus Christ. The beginning of our life was with the Lord, so let us be blessed to start our day with the Lord! May we live in praise of victory every day through the Lord! When our physical life ends, help us to end it with you! I look forward to going beyond the Jordan River to live with you forever and ever. one thanks one praise father! I am thankful that I live in the God of hope. Thank you for allowing us to sing the song of victory every day. I thank you for aiming, looking, and chasing the crown of righteousness every day.
Father God! Since my life started with Christ Jesus, please help me to live a blessed life that is led by God the Father every day! Please don't be drawn to the world. I hope you will not be attracted to the devil Satan. May I be caught and drawn only by the hand of the Lord! Lord! Beloved precious family members, please love me, but love me like the pupil of the eye! I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
