Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed
Text: “Then the Lord appeared to him that night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham; do not be afraid, for the sake of my servant Abraham I am with you and will bless you and multiply your descendants” (Genesis 26:24).
God is the source of all blessings. God blesses us and gives us grace. Those who know this are wise. Isaac learned to live wisely from his father, and through faith he overcame the environment and enjoyed blessings. The text teaches the secret of Isaac's victorious life.
First, the secret of a victorious life is not to be arrogant after prospering. It is good to pursue prosperity, but what you need to watch out for is carelessness and pride after success. Also, the secret to a victorious life is to rely on God. The battle between Isaac and Abimelech was Isaac's victory. Isaac was able to win because he believed in God.
When Abimelech told Isaac to leave the Philistine land, Isaac left without any regrets. Isaac gave up everything because he was sure that if God blessed him, he would give it to him again. Therefore, do not depend on the world, but believe in God and hope to become a victor.
Another key to victory is to be focused. What is more important than trying many things is what you achieve. I hope you set clear goals in faith before God and focus on that goal. And don't be afraid to fail, repeat and you will win.
Finally, the secret to a victorious life is to live a meek life. The word onew comes from the word ‘tamed wild horse’. In order to tame our wild horse-like temperaments and dispositions as God's children, God sometimes makes the environment difficult and makes them suffer. In that case, you have to be patient. No matter how difficult it is, we must believe in Almighty God and persevere. I hope that you will inherit the principle of faith so that your descendants can prosper forever, not just once.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be used as an instrument of peace, edifying meekness through trials. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
