Title: Source of Joy
Contents:
The Israelites returned to Jerusalem from their long captivity in Babylon and returned to Jerusalem with God's grace and help. . At that time, Nehemiah taught in verse 8, “This day is holy to our Lord; do not be troubled, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
The true life of a believer who has been born again by the Holy Spirit is a life full of joy.
Where is the source of joy?
Just as there are fountains, so there are fountains of joy. Just as there are springs that dry up and there are springs that never dry up, so the fountains of joy in the world are perishable, temporary, or dry. But the fountain of God's fountain is a place that never dries up. The joy of looking at the world is a dry joy. But the joy of looking at God is an indescribable joy.
In John 4:14, the Lord introduces this spring to a Samaritan woman who came out of Samaria to draw water. This fountain is a fountain of joy that flows like a fountain without thirst for eternity.
This fountain of joy springs up when we receive Jesus, when we hear and understand the Word, when we cry and contrite, and when we eat and share together.
What is the source of power?
There is forgiveness in Jesus. I'm sure. Jehovah is our strength.
Saints! What is the source of joy? What do you use for strength?
The source of joy and strength is the joy of Jehovah.
What pleases Jehovah?
It is rejoicing just because he is there. Like the prophet Habakkuk, even if there is nothing, we can rejoice in God alone. It's not about having someone to eat and having something good to eat, it's the joy of being satisfied with just one person. We are thankful for being His children, we are happy just thinking about what He is doing, and we are rejoicing in obeying His words.
In Psalm 84:10, the sons of Korah said, “One day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; it is better to be a gatekeeper to my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked.”
