Title The Spirit Must Live
Contents
The content of the text is John 6:63, John 3:1-7
God is spirit. John 4:24 says, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” Saints are children of God. We call God Father because we are children of God. When it comes to the Father, this is a relationship of the spirit, not of the flesh. God is the Father of spirits. Because God created man as a spiritual being, God and man have a spiritual relationship unlike everything in this world (birds, animals, meat, trees, flowers).
The restoration of this spiritual relationship is the living of the spirit.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Paul says that man is made of spirit, soul, and body. Among them, when the body dies, it returns to a handful of dust and ends, but the spirit and soul do not die. It is an eternal being. However, because the first man, Adam, sinned, all people were cut off from their spiritual relationship with God because of sin.
Restoring that relationship, restoring it to its original state, is what the Spirit calls for life. In order for the Spirit to live, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit. “Lord! Please watch. Save my spirit. Please restore worship and pour out the filling of the Holy Spirit.” If the spirit does not live, you will go to church, and even if you receive an office, you will still love the world.
1 John 2:15 says, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” The flesh makes the world look bigger and makes the world go ahead with materialism, but if the spirit lives, the kingdom of God becomes bigger. Let us live with God-centered, God-supremeism, God-first, God-first, God-absolute, and theocratic. Congratulations on your purchase like this.
The spirit must live. If the spirit does not live, all the worries and worries of the world will be burdened. And, you will not be able to let go of your proud heart. Not only that, while chasing things of the world, you are in a position to chase a mirage.
So what does today's text say? In John 6:63, “It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” you are saying That's why Ecclesiastes 1:2 says, "Vanity, vanity, vanity, vanity, all that is under the sun is vanity." James 4:14 says it is like the morning mist. Psalm 90:6-7 says that it is over when you are 70-80 years old. Yet, Jesus hates the people of the flesh because their purpose is only “what to eat, what to wear, and what to drink.” (Mt 6:31)
Taking a break from attending church, taking a break from paying tithes, taking a test when you seem to be doing well in your life of faith, receiving a job, acting as a devil in the church, and creating conflicts is a phenomenon that occurs when the spirit is not living. I bless you that your body is “99, eight and eight” but your spirit is also “99, eight and eight”.
John 3:1-7 is a conversation that came and went in the meeting between Nicodemus and Jesus. Nicodemus (Nicothemos) is a compound word of νikηv meaning victory and dhmo meaning people, meaning victorious people, conqueror of the people. Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews and a legalistic believer in the tradition of the Pharisees, believes in Jesus Christ. I understood that he was a teacher who came from God. In general, a rabbi had to complete the rabbinic education course and be over 40 years old, but Nicodemus calls Jesus a rabbi, that is, a rabbi who came from God, which is very high. But Jesus as the Messiah It seems that he saw Jesus as a prophet rather than that, and in verse 2, Nicodemus confessed, “No one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with you.” Nicodemus confessed that Jesus Christ is Jesus Christ who is with God. knew it as
What should be noted through today's text is that in spite of Nicodemus' sect, social status, and praise for Jesus, Jesus' interest is in the life of our spirit.
In verses 1-2, Jesus emphasized the importance of being born again in verse 3, despite the high level of people, high-level facts, and high-level background. “Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Only when we are born again can we see the kingdom of God and enter the kingdom of God. Hearing this, Nicodemus, who has studied a lot and has power, is bewildered and asks again. In verse 4, “Nicodemus said, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second mother’s womb and be born?” Nicodemus does not understand Jesus’ high-level words well.
So Jesus spoke again. In verse 5, Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” Emphasize important words.
In other words, be baptized in water and be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Those who were baptized with water, raise your right hand, Amen! (Mt 3:13-15, Mt 28:19, Acts 2:38), Those who were baptized with the Holy Spirit, raise your hands Amen! (John 7:37-39, 20:22-23) Let's do it.
Water baptism is the baptism of John the Baptist.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the baptism of Jesus in order to live as a child of God and to carry out the ministry.
I hope you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is Jesus' wish. To the one who has received, continue to receive the sufficiency. Then my spirit lives. John 3:6 says, “What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
You must be born again by the Holy Spirit. have to live I pray that you will become saints who earnestly pray for the spirit to live.
