Sermons for Preaching

Title The Third Man / Matthew 21:28-32

Content I. Life like the eldest son (28-29): A life that deceives God

When my father told his eldest son to go to work in the vineyard today, he did not go, saying, “Father, I will go.” It's a life of the wrong front and back. It is a form of life that responds appropriately when asked to do anything and does not act.

It is a life capable of adapting to the moment and responding to the moment. A life that promises devotion with the mouth, but not in reality. It is a form of a formal and hypocritical life. The outward appearance is plausible, but the inside is a different aspect of life.

This is because they do not know God the Father well. Because I am the owner of a little faith in the little god I made.

II. Life like the second son (30-32): A life lived according to God's will

When a father says the same thing to his second son, he says he doesn't like it. Then he repents and goes away. First of all, the answer is that I will not go. It is obedient, but it starts after holding it and putting the brakes on it. That's how it seems to stand up. It is as if if you obey what you are told to do, you will be ignored.

But the second son later repented. Then he went to the vineyard to work. Ultimately, it's good that you went and worked. Which of these two did his father's will? Of course, he is the second son.

However, compared to the first son, the second son did his father's will and did not live a life that made his father happy.

. The Third Man: A Life That Pleases God

When our father tells us to go to the vineyard today and work, if we say yes and go and work hard, this is the life that pleases God. An invitation to work is sometimes difficult, difficult, and tedious, but it is also an opportunity to be blessed. Our life is a continuum of living a life that responds rightly to what God asks of us.

Therefore, when God calls us and asks us to please God, we must be believers who can respond responsibly to that call.

Even if the call is compulsory, it should be answered with joy.
