Title The Will Fulfilled (Matthew 6:9-13)

"Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

First, about [the sky]

'Heaven' is not just a space, it is the place where God the Father, the sperm, and the Holy Spirit reside. (John 14:1-3) "Do not let your hearts be troubled, because you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions, otherwise I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, so that where I am, you may be also." This is where angels exist to fulfill God's will. Angels are spirit creatures of God (Hebrews 1:14), and they are beings who perfectly fulfill God's will. The sky is expressed as the heavens of the sky (Psalm 148), the firmament (Psalm 148), and the heavens of the heavens (Psalm 103:19-21). Heaven has several characteristics in obedience.

1. It is a place of complete obedience.

It means the world in which God's will has been completely fulfilled. There is no hesitation or hesitation. As in (Isaiah 6:8), "And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here I am;

2. Joyfully obey.

It is a place to obey God's will with joy. (Isaiah 40:8) "I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is in my heart."

3. Everyone obeys.

4. God's will is done perfectly.

Second, about [land]

'Earth' is a place where humans live. It is the opposite of 'sky'. However, heaven is speaking of heaven, but earth is not speaking of hell. God's will cannot be done in hell, but there is a possibility that it will be done on earth. That's why I'm asking for it. It is a place where sin and the tricks of the devil exist, but it is a place where God's will can be done. In heaven, God's will has already been done, but on earth it is not yet done, so we pray for it to be done.

Third, what does it mean for the will to be done on earth?

It is a prayer that God's good and perfect will will rule this world. This world is ruled by the devil. “After this I will not talk much with you, for the King of this world is coming, but I have nothing to do with me” (John 14:30). The devil prevails in the world, but we pray that we will overcome it and God's will be done. “Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the spirits of evil in heaven” (Ephesians 6:12). It is also to wish for victory in this fight. God blessed Adam and said, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:28). However, man did not use that power according to God's original will, but used it as he pleases. So the world is moving according to the will of man and Satan. But now it is a prayer that we want to be governed according to God's will.

Fourth, in order to achieve

1. We must know and do God's will.

(Ephesians 5:17) "Therefore do not be fools, but understand what the will of the Lord is." We have already learned in the past time that God's will is a request toward man, and that all work that seeks to save man is in line with the will of Jesus. However, we cannot realize God's will on earth just by knowing this will of God. It demands our actions. (Matthew 7:21-23). “Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, “Lord, Lord, we prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name. Have I not driven you out and done many mighty works in your name?” Then I will say to them plainly, “I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness.” It is important to know and practice God's will properly.

2. We must pray.

The prayer Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane was a prayer seeking God's will. (Matthew 26:39) “Going a little farther, and with his face to the ground, he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; but not as I will, but as you will.” It's about finding meaning. If we compare God's will with river water, prayer is like a water pipe, and through the water pipe called prayer, the river, God's will, flows violently. Without prayer, God's will cannot be discerned, and without prayer, God's will cannot be accomplished. (1 Kings 18) God said that he would give rain to Elijah, but it was given through Elijah's prayer. He also prophesied that the Holy Spirit would be given through the Old Testament prophets, especially through the prophet Joel. However, when the disciples gathered in Mark's upper room and prayed together, the Holy Spirit finally came (Acts 1).

3. There must be self-denial.

In order for God's will to be done, God's will must take precedence over my will. How can a person who wants his will, his wish to be fulfilled, achieve God's will? Because the mind of the flesh is contrary to the will of God. In order to discover God's will, we must kill our own will, which is the mind of the flesh, every day. “The mind set on the flesh is hostile to God, because it does not submit to the law of God, nor can it be” (Romans 8:7). The Apostle Paul said, "I die daily" (1 Corinthians 15:31). Also, Jesus said, "Whoever does not take up his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple" (Luke 12:27). The cross here is the will of God. For our Lord, the cross means the very will of God. Likewise, there is God's will for each of us, and that is our cross. The life of faith is living by dying (John 12:24-25).

4. Be obedient.

God's will is realized in those who obey. This is because knowing God's will does not mean that we can realize God's will. (1 Thessalonians 4:3) says, “This is the will of God, your holiness, that is, that you put away sexual immorality.” (Mat 18:14) If you know that "it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that even one of these little ones should be lost in the same way", you must evangelize for the salvation of your family and neighbors. (Acts 13:22) He said, "He abolished David and made David king, and testified, saying, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, and I will do all my will." He said that he would do God's will through David. It is God's will that He wants us to realize His will on this earth not only through David, but through us. The content to be fulfilled in this petition is [God's will], the place is [this earth], and the method is [as done in heaven]. God's will must be done 'here and now'.
