Title The Word and Faith [II]/ Genesis 6:1~8

Contents

We all have the desire to believe well.

I would like to be praised by God, who is the master of my life, as a warrior of faith. Who among the people of faith will say no?

If you think about it, all of us members will have the desire to “believe at this time, if you believe it, let’s believe it once.” I hope that all of us saints can live a life that rises day by day toward the height of that faith with a lot of greed for faith. However, I want to become a warrior of faith, but I have to worry about the question of “How should I believe?” That is because if faith is of the nature that everything can be achieved by simply putting our heart into it and following it as we please, there will be no difficulties, but it is a matter of living according to the will of God regardless of our heart. Faith is like that. So it is difficult. The will of God must be applied to my life.

Therefore, discovering what God's will is is inevitably going to come first in the order of progress toward the right faith. If we are to become people of right faith that are praised and accepted by God, we must know what God has said.

The element of faith is not something I decide. You just have to live according to the truth of the Word. That is faith. Today's text reveals in detail what God did when humans who were very good in God's eyes after creating the heavens and the earth were violent and sinful before God. What were the words of God spoken in the days of Noah? I hope that we will be able to receive and enjoy all the blessings of God that He gives to those who open their eyes to the right faith, possess the right faith, and live a perfect life before God.

1. It is the word that God requires, and it is simple and clear.

“Life, don’t make fun of anything other than me.”

Yes. The number one command that God gives to the human beings made in His image is, “Live your life only looking at me, that is, let me be all of your joy.” Human beings created by God?! We must live according to the will of God. That is the shortcut to happiness, and he is a believer. Therefore, he must live according to God's original purpose of creation. Otherwise, if he wanders and wanders in the wrong place outside of his original purpose, he is bound to become unhappy. The reason he is unhappy is simple. It would not be difficult to imagine, compared to the pain and sorrow of a servant who was abandoned by his master. So the first point that God always strongly instructs his people to emphasize is that you do not follow or serve anyone other than me. Exodus 20:3-11 says:

[Nothing other than God is acceptable to the people of God]. These words are from the 1st to the 4th commandment among the Ten Commandments. This commandment is classified as a commandment about God. If you look closely at the four things written here, everything is only God. Yes. There is only God in the life created by God. Today's word also reveals it clearly. “Only in your life there can be no other than me.” People, don't make fun of anything other than me. A life without God is futile, the sense of purpose is not clear, the food is tasteless, the drink is not refreshing, and the sleep is not refreshing.

Look at today's message. It is said that because God departed from man, man became flesh. Even if a person who has been reduced to a piece of fresh meat wears seven packs of money, covers his body with jewels, drapes with silk, and tries all his arrogant forms, why would he feel a sense of desperation rather than a sense of beauty from him? Yes. A person must live by looking only at God. A believer must live by looking only at God.

2. God sometimes warns.

“God’s warning is a warning that if you live your life apart from God, there will be judgment.”

If we look at today's text, we can see that God's judgmental words are expressed in various ways, directly or indirectly. If you look closely at today's Word, the first part of the Word records the fact that you left God, and the latter part records God's judgment against it. One example is this: Let's look at verse 2 first.

“And the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took wives of all they liked.” It is a record of the fact that they left God. What did God do when we left Him and lived according to our own will? Verse 3 says, “My spirit shall not dwell with men forever, says the Lord, for they are made flesh, but their days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” Verses 5 and 6 are the same. Here's something we shouldn't miss. That is, we should never take this lightly and try to pass it by. Those who live apart from God are judged by God. But God's judgment is very frightening. In today's Word, I hope that we do not miss the fact that God's terrible judgment must come to those who live apart from God. God's judgment is thoroughly executed today. If there is something in me that is grieving God, I hope you will stop it soon. He is a believer, and a believer who stands right in the Word.

3. Even in the midst of wrath, God does not forget His mercy, so even if the world is dominated by sin, God's saving grace is added to those who live there looking only at God.

There is no doubt that God's judgment is harsh and unmerciful, but we must not forget that God's judgment never hurts the innocent. God's protection of the innocent is flawless. A typical example is Noah. Look at verse 8 of today's text. “But Noah found favor with the Lord.” There was a terrible judgment of sweeping away the world stained with sin and sweeping away the entire world, but remember that even then, Noah was excluded from that terrible and final judgment. The blessing that comes to those who live by looking only at God is eternal life. let's live right now Become a complete believer. Let's hope for that eternal day and live before God.
