Title The Word Became Flesh
Contents
The Word became a man (flesh) so that we might die together with the old disobedient people of flesh and blood and live together as new people of obedience according to the spirit, so that it might become the praise of God's glory.
Regarding this, the Bible says, “For children are of flesh and blood, and he also belongs to flesh and blood in one way, that through death he who took over the power of death, who put away the devil, and all those who are in bondage through life because they fear death. to release them” (Hebrews 2:14-15).
“Slave” here refers to the one who commits sin, that is, the slave to sin. This is the same as it is written, “There is no one who does not sin…” (1 Kings 8:46) and “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). ) and "...and death spread to all men, because all have sinned" (Romans 5:12).
Therefore, it was fitting that the Son was sent in the flesh to release all who are enslaved (sinning). This is what the prophets said in advance, "...you are sold without price, and you will be redeemed without money" (Isaiah 52:3). This is the gospel.
That is why the Bible says, “Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them and turn and tear you apart” (Matthew 7:6). He said, “Beware of dogs, and beware of evildoers, and beware of circumcision” (Philippians 3:2).
This is like that Damascus “Eliezer” who has absolutely nothing to do with Abraham’s heir. Therefore, it is the same as saying, “Do not measure the courtyard outside the temple, but leave it alone, because it was given to the Gentiles, and they will trample on the holy city for forty-two months” (Revelation 11:2).
Therefore, now the partners of salvation, or inheritance, are “Ishmael” and “Isaac”. “Ishmael” is the offspring of a slave born of a slave girl according to the flesh. It is written, "A servant does not remain in the house forever, but the son abides forever" (John 8:35), and the apostle said, "...What does the Bible say? Cast out the maidservant and her son. The son of the slave girl shall not inherit with the son of the free woman” (Galatians 4:30).
Therefore, flesh and blood, the slaves of sin that commit sin, will never inherit the kingdom of God. Regarding this, the Bible testifies, “I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor do perishable things inherit incorruption” (1 Corinthians 15:50).
So now it is necessary to distinguish between Ishmael from the slave girl (below) and Isaac from the free woman (above). Therefore, Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Do not marvel at the words that you must be born again” (John 3:6-7).
Therefore, now Christ has become a source of destruction and salvation to Esau and Jacob, two peoples fighting in the womb. Regarding this, the Bible testifies, "...to them the ice of destruction and to you the ring of salvation, which is from God" (Philippians 1:28).
Therefore, those who are in the flesh are not a united faith after the death of Jesus, but a group of greedy people who do not believe in the truth but believe in lies by receiving a different gospel, another Jesus, and another spirit.
As it is written, “The mind set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor can it be; for those who are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:7-8). something like
Therefore, Christ Jesus is the ring of salvation for those who obey the gospel (those who believe), but the ring of destruction for those who do not believe (those who do not obey the gospel).
How faithful God is who has given us Christ Jesus with whom we can put off the old man, the body of sin.
But to those who do not obey the gospel, as it is written, “Behold, I put in Zion a stone to stumble upon and a rock to stumble upon; whoever believes in him will not be put to shame” (Romans 9:33). .Behold, I put in Zion a corner stone, chosen and precious, necessary, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame...” (1 Peter 2:6) He said, “…a stone of stumbling and a rock of stumbling.” They stumble because they disobey the word, for this is what it was ordained for them” (1 Peter 2:8).
God our Father is not in the courtyard of the temple, nor in the first tent (sanctuary), but only in the second tent (most holy place). Therefore, in the veil, in which the flesh was torn, is God our Father. Those who will enter the veil will put off the old self with Christ Jesus from the cross, and only those whose body of sin has been destroyed will be set free from sin and will enter into it. And as a servant of God, we can serve as priests of God and of the Lamb and serve God and the Lamb in the Most Holy.
The Lamb Himself said, "If anyone would serve me, follow me; where I am, there will also be those who serve me; and if a man serves me, my Father will honor him" (John 12:26). We know that these words are true. Lord! Thank you.
Therefore, those who believe in him, who obey him, are heirs with Christ. There can never be any junk here.
“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son will not see eternal life, but the wrath of God remains on him” (John 3:36).
Therefore, faith is obedience. “Therefore, let those who come through faith know that they are sons of Abraham” (Galatians 3:7). Amen. In the end of this faith is the salvation of this soul.
“They stumble because they disobey the word”
Therefore, obedience is not in the flesh, but in the new life, in which by perfect faith the old man has been put off together with Christ.
The word of truth exhorts us: “Let us come to God with a true heart and complete faith” (Hebrews 10:22).
“To the King of all ages, the immortal, invisible, and the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever, Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17).
