Title There is Heaven and Hell

Contents

There is heaven and hell Revelation 21:4, 27

Last week he spoke of the end and the Second Coming.

There is heaven and hell. Some people say that the kingdom of heaven is in their hearts, but there are those who do not believe in the real heaven. But heaven and hell do exist. Sometimes people ask this question.

"Pastor! Have you been to heaven or hell?”

The question is, “How can you say you are confident without going there?” What do you guys think about this question?

Even people who have never been to Mt. Baekdu believe that there is a pond of heaven and earth. You can learn more about heaven and earth by looking at an atlas or dictionary.

That's right. The Bible testifies countless times about heaven and hell.

Also, Jesus is talking about heaven and hell several times.

Heaven is expressed as the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of God, etc.

Hell is described as Hades and the like.

Heaven is definitely there. Have you received Jesus Christ as your Savior? didn't you? Depends on where you want to go.

When a person dies, it doesn't end there. After that is judgment, and after judgment is heaven and hell.

That is why Jesus said, “They will go into eternal punishment, and the righteous into eternal life” (Matthew 25:46). “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).

1. What kind of place is Hell?

1) Hell is the place of eternal punishment where God's wrath comes.

Heaven is the place of eternal life for those who believe in Jesus as their Savior.

But hell is the place where those who disobey God, distrust Jesus Christ, and disobey the work of the Holy Spirit enter. is.

*Matthew 25:46 They will go into eternal punishment, and the righteous into eternal life.

*Mark 9:43,48 (Mark 9:43) “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off; for it is better for you to enter eternal life disabled than to enter hell with two hands, the unquenchable fire.”

(Mark 9:48) “Where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.”

2) Hell is the place of eternal suffering and thirst. (2 Thessalonians 1:9)

There is no more chance in Hell. There is a pain that does not allow even a sip of water. How severe would it be to say, 'I have a toothache and weeping'? Also, you can't rest for a while after being punished.

continue to suffer. This is hell.

*Mat 13:42 I will throw them into the furnace of fire, where they will weep and grind their teeth.

*Luke 16:24 Having mercy on me, he sent Lazarus to pour water on the tip of his finger.

Cut it and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.

*Rev 20:10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

3) Hell is a dark place and a lake of eternal fire that never goes out (Rev 19:20).

*Mat 25:30 Cast this useless servant out into the darkness, where there weep

I'm going to chop it up.

*2 Peter 2:4 God did not forgive the angels who sinned, but cast them into hell and placed them in pits of darkness to be kept until judgment.

*Rev 20:14 Death and Hades were also thrown into the lake of fire, which is the second death, the lake of fire.

15 Anyone whose name is not written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire.

2. What kind of place is heaven?

Hell is a place of eternal suffering due to God's wrath and punishment.

But heaven is a beautiful place overflowing with joy because of God's love and comfort. Heaven will wash away all tears, and there will be no tears of toil, tears of injustice, and tears of pain, and there will be no more weeping, mourning, or suffering from painful diseases. There is only eternal joy here.

1) Heaven is beautiful and is a place of God's love and comfort.

(Rev 21:9-21)

Nothing in the world can be compared to heaven. The kingdom of heaven is full of the glory of God, and the city's light is like a precious jewel, clear as jasper, and there are twelve incantations with the names of the twelve tribes written on them.

It is a very beautiful place where there are angels guarding every door, the river of the water of life flows, the fruit of life, and the crowds in white are praising it.

*Rev 21:2 And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

2) Heaven is a place where there is no curse of pain or suffering, and there is eternal joy. (Rev 7:10-11)

There are things that are not in heaven. It is tears, death, mourning, sickness, etc.

There is no temple in heaven. Because God and the Lamb are the temples.

There are no sun or moon stars. Because God is light.

A place where there will be no night and no more curses.

However, in heaven there is an abundance of God's glory, love, praise, and joy.

*Rev 22:3,5 (Rev 22:3) “There shall be no more curse, and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in them; and his servants shall serve him.”

(Rev 22:5) “There will be no more night, nor need of lamps or sunlight, for the Lord God gives them light, and they shall reign forever and ever.”

3) Heaven is the place where those who believe in Jesus enter and live forever.

Heaven is a place of eternal life. Those who are chosen in Jesus Christ and who believe in Jesus as Savior and whose names are written in the book of life enter. In other words, you must believe in Jesus to enter the promised kingdom of heaven.

*John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

*Ephesians 1:4 who chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, so that we in love

to be holy and without blemish before him

*Rev 21:27 No one shall enter into it anything unclean or detestable or lying, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

3. What should those who enter the kingdom of heaven strive to do?

1) We must seek and long for the kingdom of God.

*Matthew 6:33 Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.

Then all these things will be added to you.

*2 Corinthians 5:8-9 We are bold, and our desire is to be absent from the body and to be with the Lord.

2) We must strive to work and evangelize for the kingdom of God.

(Matthew 6:20-21)

Do you clearly believe that there is a heaven and a hell? Then I must preach Heaven so that my loved ones do not go to Hell. We must strive to be witnesses of the gospel so that we become the people of the kingdom of heaven who believe in Jesus.

*Acts 8:12 Philip preached about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ

They believed, and both men and women were baptized.

3) We should strive to give thanks and praise.

We should be thankful for the amazing grace that saved us from our eternal death in our sins and transgressions. We should give thanks and praise the grace we received.

The kingdom of God is nothing but praise. Therefore, we should be a saint who gives thanks for the grace we have received while living in this world and praises them every day.

Life is like a stranger. The destination that the traveler life reaches is either heaven or hell. Our destination of believing in Jesus is a beautiful heaven. Heaven is the spiritual home of believers.

Hell is a dark place. It is a place of eternal pain and suffering.

It is an eternal lake of brimstone fire that thirsts and never quenches.

It is a place where you will receive eternal punishment from God's wrath and judgment.

This is a scary place for those who do not believe in Jesus as their Savior to enter.

Therefore, we must evangelize diligently so that our beloved brothers do not go to hell. We must believe in Jesus and become the people of the kingdom of heaven.

Let's live longing for heaven where there will be no more pain, tears, death, or curses, and where there is eternal joy. You must live a life that always gives thanks and praise to the God of salvation.
