Title Therefore, go ye / Matthew 28
The center and apex of Jesus' ministry (gospel) is the crucifixion of Jesus' crucifixion and death. But its consummation is resurrection and ascension. The cross and resurrection are contradictory events that seem incomprehensible and foolish, but that is the characteristic and center of the Christian gospel.
1 “Do not be afraid, for he is risen” (1-8)
It was the angels sent by God who announced the conception of Jesus, the birth of Jesus, and the resurrection of Jesus. Mary, who heard the news of Jesus' conception through the angels, obeyed (Luke 1:38), and the shepherds who heard the news of the birth of Jesus through the angels obeyed and “went quickly” and worshiped the baby Jesus (Luke 2: 16), Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, who heard the news of Jesus' resurrection through the angels, obeyed and “leaved and ran” (8). Blessed are those who hear the ‘good news’ from the ‘angel’ and obey them. Blessed are Mary, the shepherds, Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary. Blessed are those who have ears to hear, hearts to obey, and feet to act.
2 “Peace, do not be afraid” (9-15)
The greatest blessing for human beings is meeting and experiencing the Lord of the Cross and the Lord of Resurrection. Therefore, the Apostle Paul longed to know the Lord of the cross and the Lord of resurrection, and wanted to participate in the suffering of the cross and the power of resurrection, and to carry the Lord of the cross and the Lord of resurrection in his body (Philippians 3:8). -11). The first person to meet the Resurrection Lord was Mary Magdalene (Mark 16:9, John 20:16), and the second person to meet was Mary Magdalene and another Mary. The Lord appeared first to those who truly believed in Him, loved Him and longed for Him. He gave such a person the blessing of peace and the mission of witnessing the Lord. He gave the greatest and most glorious mission to go and preach the message of resurrection (John 21:17). The chief priests and elders were still committing the unfortunate sin of rebelling and denying the Lord of the Resurrection by meeting together to counsel, to give money to the soldiers.
3 “Go ye and make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them” (16-20).
