Hebrews 3:1-6
What must we who are saved do?
What should we who are saved look for?
What should we who are saved think about?
New Sarang Church members! Think deeply of Jesus.
The word “depth” in the Bible means “to receive with the heart” in Hebrew. The Lord is knocking on the door of our hearts. It is our responsibility to open that door and welcome the Lord. Do you have no grace in your heart to worship the Lord? Because you do not open your heart to the Lord. The Lord wants to be at the center of our hearts. I hope you truly have the Lord in your heart. This is thinking deeply about the Lord.
We hear and sing the words and praises of the Lord with deaf ears. But why can't change happen within us? Why is there no emotion and warmth in our hearts? It is because we know the Lord, but we do not know Him deeply. By any chance, don't you think about the Lord and start Sunday again? What does the Lord want from us? It is a heart to think deeply about the Lord, not ceremonial worship, prayer, or knowledge of the Bible. Aren't you only looking at money jars, health jars, and knowledge jars for a week? Shouldn't Sunday be a day to put down all the jars and only think about the Lord?
Why did the birth of the Lord separate BC and AD? Why are changes and justice established in each country where the gospel of Jesus enters? Why does the gospel of Jesus change for each person who enters it? Why are there so many people who serve the Lord's Church with all their might from morning to evening on Sunday? You don't have to do things like this in the world. But the true life of faith is because we cannot stand upright if we do not think deeply about Jesus.
We need to think deeply about Jesus. Thinking deeply about Jesus is not “about Jesus.” This is what religious scholars and atheists want to know. But they do not know and do not want to know about Jesus. It is the faith of Jesus, not the knowledge of Jesus, that saves us. Do not dwell on knowledge, but meet Jesus in your heart and find joy and peace.
The time when the book of Hebrews was written was a time of persecution. That time was full of the desperation and suffering of martyrdom. For those who are pondering when the suffering will end, the writer of Hebrews encourages them to know Jesus deeply and participate in His suffering. It's like encouraging and cheering Marathon, who runs endlessly, to do his best to the end.
Be zealous in knowing the Lord deeply. Jesus will be the messenger who will guide our home, church, and our country on the right path. I hope that you will become one with the Lord by knowing the Lord deeply and serving Him.
