Title Think of Jesus / Hebrews 3:1-6
Contents
There is no Jew who does not respect Moses. They boast that they are Moses' disciples.
(John 9:28). However, the text testifies that Jesus is not in the position of Moses.
Just by looking at the events of the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-8), it is easy to prove that Jesus is superior to Moses.
1. Consider his loyalty (2). We need not underestimate Moses' loyalty.
He was a good leader and a loyal servant in his work. But Jesus is a servant
He was not like the faithful Moses, but as a son, he was obedient to the point of death (Philippians 2:7-8).
it is death Let us be faithful in our work, contemplating his faithfulness (1 Corinthians 4:2).
2. Think of his glory. Moses also had glory. When Moses came down with the law of weeping, people covered his face with a towel because they couldn't look at him because of the fruits and vegetables on his face.
(Exodus 34:29-35). And there was glory as the leader of Israel. But the glory of Moses cannot be compared to the glory of the resurrection and ascension that Jesus suffered after the crucifixion.
Let us endure the present sufferings and difficulties as we look forward to his glory (Romans 8:18).
3. Think of his honor. It is not without the honor of Moses. Leader and God's Mission
Although exalted as a human being, Jesus is the exalted Son of God, and is not at the right hand of God.
There is no rat more terrifying than unbelief. The sin that God cannot forgive is the sin of belief in water.
4. Do not harden your heart (7-11). God led the Israelites from slavery in Egypt,
He made the Red Sea dry as dry land, He led them with a pillar of cloud and fire, He fed manna and quails.
He made known the living God to them as a sign in the wilderness.
His heart became hardened, and he doubted God, blamed Moses, and made a golden calf to serve Usa.
Such unbelief and hard work toward God are dangerous.
5. Do not fall away from God (12-14). “Draw close to God. Then draw near to you” (James 4:8). Living apart from God means spiritual death.
In Ephesians 4:18, it is said that those who have departed from the life of God are dead.
But to those who draw near, God is always with them.
6. Obey (16-19). Those who came out of Egypt, crossed the Red Sea, and experienced the power of God in the wilderness.
They all died in the wilderness because of their disobedience. Why did God enter the promised land flowing with milk and honey?
Did you keep them from entering the resting place? It is because of their disobedience (John 3:36).
Let us enjoy true peace and rest through obedience.
7. Participate in the promise (Hebrews 3:15-19)
Received doesn't mean anything. The important thing is to participate in the promise.
Let's all strive to participate in our members, not just those who have received the promise.
We must not follow in the footsteps of Israel who fell in the wilderness.
In order to participate in the promise, you must put away your hard heart and believe and obey the promise. God is
He will repay you according to what you have done.
8. Commitment and Prayer
1) Help me to live a life that is always close to God.
2) For pastors !
