Title This Man's Thanksgiving (Habakkuk 3:16-19)

Contents

There is a saying called a succubus. It means that you will stumble on the rope you have laid out. Even if no one puts you in a trap or no one binds you up, you are what you are. The greatest curses in our lives are resentment, complaints, and lamentations. This makes you build a wall with God. Such people are destroying their own lives. Let's not live with regret. You should not live with resentment. You shouldn't live with anger. Because we have lost our gratitude, we live in resentment, resentment, and anger. Gratitude is a drug visit. A person who lives with gratitude for everything will receive full support from God and receive blessings because his attitude and attitude in life are optimistic, hopeful, positive and active.

Lettuce has a gene of pride. The more lettuce grows, the better it gets. No matter how much it grows and grows again, lettuce does not become deceived. I am me, you are you There is no way to collect. The first leaf will fall off first, and the last leaf will fall behind. When it rains and the wind blows, it rolls back faster and more easily. However, Chinese cabbage contains the gene for gratitude. The more you grow, the more your stomach fills. As it grows, the first leaf surrounds the later leaf. We care for each other and thank each other. Be humble with each other. When it rains and the wind blows, we embrace each other more and appreciate each other. How beautiful is this? Among the saints, there are saints like lettuce, and there are saints like cabbage. I hope that the gene of gratitude is abundantly located in the hearts of our members.

Today, I would like to share the grace of this person with the words “thanks to this man”, focusing on the main text.

This man's thanksgiving from the prophet Habakkuk was "Gratitude in tribulation."

Verse 16 says, “My bowels trembled because I heard it, and my lips trembled at the voice of his voice. I await the day of tribulation, when crowds come up against us, and decay of my bones has come in, and my body has trembled in my dwelling place.” .

This was a revelation the prophet Habakkuk received from God. The voice of God he heard was a warning for war and a warning for the day of trouble. Prophet Habakkuk experienced the fear "to the point of shaking his bowels" and "his lips trembling" at the sound of the alarm. When I think of the dreadful day when the Assyrian army will devastate wives and land, destroy the temple, trample and kill the people, and take them captive, I felt so much fear. I am anxious about tomorrow. There is no hope for the future. But thank you.

Habakkuk is giving thanks in this environment. True faith is relying on the Lord more in times of trouble. The more anxious tomorrow is and the more anxious the future is, the more we depend on the Lord. Those who know God with unchanging truth and faithfulness will rejoice in His promises. Even if the implementation of the Word is delayed and the providence seems to be contradictory, we are never discouraged. Rather, give thanks in the midst of tribulation. Because I believe in God.

This man, the prophet Habakkuk, gave thanks, “even if there is none.”

Verse 17, “Though the fig tree does not bud and the vine does not bud, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the flock.”

The era of Habakkuk was the era of agriculture. The absence of such a thing in the agricultural era means that it is all lost. These are the most basic elements in the life of the Jewish people. But none of those things were there.

In today's terms, a virgin bachelor is about to get married, but has no spouse, stocks bought by stockholders have plummeted and there is only a tin can account, trying to find a job and no job advertisements anywhere, and a housewife returning home after hard work It's like there's no rice in the rice cooker when I want to cook for the people. It was Habakkuk's thanksgiving to give thanks when he was not like this.

How can you answer my long words? I would like to take the place of my tour by telling you about some gracious conditions of gratitude that I felt after experiencing the martyrdom of my sons.

First of all, I thank God for allowing martyrdom children to come out of the bloodline of a sinner like me.

Second, I am also grateful for how you entrusted me with these treasures among the many saints.

Third, I give thanks to God for my blessing in offering my two most beautiful sons, the eldest and the youngest, among three sons and three daughters.

Fourth, the martyrdom of one son is precious and precious, much less the martyrdom of two sons, thank God.

Fifth, it is said that it is a great blessing to lie down and die while believing in Jesus.

Sixth, my son, who was preparing to study in the United States, has gone to a better heaven than the United States.

Seventh, I thank God for giving me a loving heart to repent of the enemy who shot my two beloved sons.

Eighth, I thank God our Father that I believe that there will be countless sons in the kingdom of heaven through my two sons.

Ninth, I thank our Lord for giving me the joy of finding the above eight truths and the love of God in the midst of such adversity, and ample faith.

Finally, I give all the glory to God who has blessed me with an undeserved and undeserved blessing. It is the fruit of the prayers made with tears for decades that my father and mother cried out every morning on these days of trouble. I have no doubt that it is the fruit of the sincerity that my beloved leper brothers and sisters have prayed for me and my family for 23 years, and I am also grateful to all of you."

This man, the prophet Habakkuk, gave thanks, saying, “Gratitude that rejoices and rejoices in God.”

Verse 18, “I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.” In fact, Habakkuk would rejoice in anything other than God, but it was hard to find anything to rejoice in. However, he could not rejoice and rejoice because of the circumstances, but he was able to rejoice and rejoice in the God who was higher than the circumstances and ruled over it.

In the blessing of God, we became children of God, and through the Lord Jesus Christ we received redemption, a person of sin, and received salvation. That is why we became holy people of God. God has become our Father and our Savior. Through the blood of Jesus, we have been forgiven of our sins and received a lasting righteousness. Freed from the devil, principalities, and powers. set free from the condemnation and judgment of the law. We were set free from the pride of human actions, but through faith alone, we were saved by the gift of God's grace and became a citizen of heaven. Therefore, we should rejoice and rejoice in God.

The prophet Habakkuk was in a situation where he could not foresee the future as he watched everything around him collapse, but he did not doubt, disbelieve, or lose peace, but rejoiced and rejoiced in Jehovah God.

The gratitude of this man, the prophet Habakkuk, was “thanks to the hope of looking forward to tomorrow without sinking into real problems.”

Verse 19, “The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he will make my feet like deer, and he will make me walk on my heights.

The reality was that my legs were wobbly and my bones were ripped out. But Habakkuk hoped that the Lord would make my feet like deer and make me walk on my high places because the Lord was my strength. He may be very distressed now, but there is hope for tomorrow. So, the prophet Habakkuk thanked God for the hope of tomorrow. He who gave even his son's life to save us, how could he not give us a good thing along with his life? Therefore, there is hope. Also, "to make me walk on high" means to live a victorious life. Even though we are in a difficult situation in reality, we believe that God will make sure we can live a victorious life tomorrow, and we are thankful.

Gospel hymn "Thanks to the Lord for saving me"

Now, let's wrap things up and finish. What kind of thanks was this man, the prophet Habakkuk? It was thanksgiving during tribulation. It was a thank you given when there was nothing. It was thanksgiving to rejoice and rejoice in the Lord. It was a thankfulness among hopes that looked to tomorrow rather than today. I hope that we too can live with gratitude like this man Habakkuk.
