Title This Time to Pray - II
Contents
3. A prayer without lies is a prayer that is answered.
Verse 3?
At this time of prayer, when I kneel down to the Lord and ask in secret, I will receive an answer soon.
If you tell them something is wrong, they are merciful and they give you great gifts.
You bless me during prayer time. My weary heart is filled with joy.
In verse 3, the prayer that is answered when we pray is that when we openly confess our wrongdoings first, God is merciful and gives us great gifts and joy.
Proverbs 28:13 "He who hides his sins will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."
1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Isaiah 1:18 "Come, let us reason with one another, though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be as wool."
Therefore, in order to receive answers to our prayers, above all else, we need to bow down before Jesus and confess our hidden sins. Then, I earnestly pray that you and I will be praying for you, confident that Jesus will give me a great gift and fill my weary heart with joy.
4. Assurance of answers to prayers
Verse 4?
If you depend on the Lord during this time of prayer and ask for great grace, you will surely receive it.
A heart that relies on will make your worries go away. You give me a great gift. There is joy.
You bless me during prayer time. My weary heart is filled with joy.
Verse 4 is the content of the assurance of prayer as the climax of this praise. In any case, when we pray, we must receive answers to our prayers. For that to happen, I think it would be good to talk about the 7 steps of answering prayers.
First: We must pray with a clear purpose.
When it comes to praying, the most foolish people are the ones who say that God takes care of everything. When we go to visit someone, we don't just go, we leave with a clear purpose. In the same way, when you go out to pray before God, you must go out with a clear purpose of prayer. When you pray, 'Do not add babbles' means to pray with a clear prayer subject.
Matthew 6:7 “And when you pray, do not keep babbling like the Gentiles, for they think that they will be heard when they speak a lot.”
8 “Therefore, do not imitate them, for God your Father knows what you need before asking.”
Second: We must hold on to the promised Word of God.
When we pray, we must not hold on to our emotions. Salvation does not come through emotions, but through faith in God's promised word.
1 John 5:14 "This is the confidence we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."
Romans 10:13 "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Instead of relying on your emotions, knowledge, or experiences, you must hold on to the word of God that has been promised. And we must pray earnestly until we receive the answer to God's word that we hold on to.
Third: You must ask God for what you want.
Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.”
8 “Everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to thee, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things that you do not know.”
God knows all our inner and outer circumstances, so why did Jesus say these things? It is to see our passion and faith in God. Prayer doesn't just make history. Prayer is not unconditionally changing everything. A prayer that cries out, a prayer that pleases God, and a prayer that can move the throne of God's power create works.
Fourth: You must know and believe that you have received it.
Mark 11:24 "What you ask for in faith, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
Even if we do not grasp it in this hand or do not see it with our eyes, Jesus promised with the word and we believed with our hearts, so we must have faith and wait for the answer. When Elijah believed the promise of rain and prayed seven times, a cloud the size of a palm arose.
1 Kings 18:41 “Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a great rain.”
42 “Ahab went up to eat and drink. So Elijah went up to the top of Mount Carmel, and knelt on the ground, and put his face between his knees.”
43 “He said to the servant, “Go up and look toward the sea. He went up and looked and said, ‘There is nothing.
44 “At the seventh time, he said, “A little cloud the size of a man’s hand rises out of the sea.” He said, “Go up and say to Ahab, ‘Get your wagons and go down so that the rain won’t stop them.’”
45 “After a while a cloud and a wind rose, and the sky became dark, and it rained heavily, and Ahab got in a chariot and went to Jezreel.”
If you pray to the end with faith like this, you will develop pride in your prayers and confidence in your prayers. Until then, you must pray hard.
Fifth: Let go of doubt.
Thousands of people pray for good luck. I pray while doubting. Pray while complaining and complaining. Praying doesn't mean you don't have doubts. Therefore, when we pray, we must cast out the shadows of doubt and failure that arise in our hearts moment by moment in the name of the Lord. To do this, we must pray by relying on the Holy Spirit. I have to pray with faith, believing that the Holy Spirit will drive away all my doubts and lead me to blessings.
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
6 “But ask in faith, and do not doubt at all. He who doubts is like a wave of the sea tossed and tossed by the wind.”
Mark 11:22 “Jesus answered and said to them, Believe in God.”
23 “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, believing that what he says will come true, it will be done for him.
24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
25 “When you stand and pray, forgive anyone you have any accusation against, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.”
Sixth: We must continue to meditate on God's promises and pray.
We must lay the anchor of faith on the promises of God and stand firm and pray. When the blessing of the descendants was given to Abraham, it was not fulfilled immediately, but 25 years after the word of promise fell, it was not fulfilled until the age of 100. Joseph's dream to become Prime Minister came true only 13 years after his dream. Moses prayed for 40 years in the wilderness, and at the age of 80, he received an answer as a leader of Israel. Therefore, just because we pray for a month or two and there is no answer, we should not say, “Where does God live? There is no need to believe in God.” When prayer continues to hold on to God's promises, persevere and meditate on it until it grows in my faith and matures, God will surely fulfill that prayer.
2 Corinthians 1:20 “All the promises of God are yes in Christ, so that through him we say Amen, to the glory of God.”
21 “It is God who established us with you in Christ and anointed us.”
22 “He also sealed us and gave the Holy Spirit into our hearts as a guarantee.
Romans 4:20 “Without faith they did not doubt the promises of God, but were steadfast in the faith, giving glory to God.”
21 “I was convinced that he was also able to accomplish what he had promised.”
Finally, we must give glory to God.
When we continue to praise and glorify God, God's greater work will happen. God's existence is not only revealed in prayer, but also in praise. That is why he is called the God who dwells in the praise of Israel. Even when we pray, doubts come to us. Whenever that happens, pray and praise together. When we praise, God's work will become stronger.
Revelation 7:10 “He cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
11 “And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God.”
12 “They said, Amen, to our God be the praise and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength for ever and ever. Amen.”
Philippians 2:9 “Therefore God highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every
10 “And at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, both in heaven and on earth and under the earth.”
11 “Every tongue has confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”
Let us now draw the conclusion of the sermon.
The Bible says
Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Psalm 91:15 “He will plead with me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in their troubles, and I will deliver him and glorify him.”
Don't look at the environment, don't get involved in incidents, or even if you're tied down in something, you have to believe and be thankful that God will release it. If we do this, the Red Sea will appear within us and even if the city of Jericho appears, the history of division and collapse will appear. Therefore, I hope that you and I will share our wishes with Jesus through prayer and give thanks through praise. Let's all praise God's grace at work in prayer. And exalt the name of that God, and abide in Jesus Christ in every circumstance and life given to us! When we abide in Jesus, the truth of God becomes our shield and protection, and we can be victorious.
We can call God Abba Father. Then God will answer. We must never forget that God grants us safety when we fulfill our responsibilities. In the name of Jesus Christ, I earnestly pray that this time of prayer will be the happiest time for you, me and you, full of joy, and abundant grace. Amen
