Contents

Hymn: 411 (New Hymn 563) 'Jesus loves

Meditation: God loves us enough to exchange the life of his only begotten Son. No one can break this line of God's love.

Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed

Text: "Of Benjamin he said, "He who is loved by the LORD will live by his side in safety. The LORD will protect him from the end of the day, and he will put him between his shoulders" (Deuteronomy 33:12).

Benjamin was the youngest of Jacob's twelve sons by Rachel, Jacob's most beloved wife. Jacob's love for Benjamin was great. When a severe famine struck the land of Canaan, the rest of the sons were sent to Egypt to gather grain, but Benjamin was left alone until the end. This text is a prayer of blessing that Moses prayed for the tribe of Benjamin, who was so loved by his father. Moses calls the tribe of Benjamin those who are loved by God and prays that God's great blessings will come.

First, the text says, "He who is loved by the Lord will live by him in safety." Living with God is a great blessing for us. Where did the misfortune of the prodigal son begin? It started right after I left my father's side. The prodigal son who left his father lost everything, but when he returned to being a beggar, his father accepted him and made him live safely by his side. This is the Father's love.

Second, he said, "God protects him to the end of the day." Because God loves us, He protects us from the day to the end. The God who protects us all night, protects us, neither slumbers nor sleeps. We can live because God who loves us protects us like this every day.

Finally, he said that God would put him between his shoulders. In the original text, there are two interpretations: 'carry and carry' and 'embrace like a bird embracing its young between its wings'. God is carrying us on a rough road. When danger comes, he embraces us as if cherishing its young in the most precious place of a bird, the wing pad. Don't you feel the love of God desperately? We live in God's amazing love like this. Therefore, we must confess that we love God every day and live our lives.

Prayer: Loving Heavenly Father! We are thrilled and grateful that you love us, always by our side, protecting us all night, carrying us, carrying us, and protecting us by embracing us in your wings. I will love only you until the day I die. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
