[People who met the Resurrection Lord] John 20:19-29 2007.04.08. Easter Worship
1) The disciples, who were watching Jesus die on the cross from afar, were on the one hand, frustrated and on the other hand, fearful, and were worried about how to live in a world without the Lord now. . Some of them went back to Galilee and went down to their hometown, Emmaus, to catch fish and farm. Some of the disciples lost all their purpose and motivation and were just wasting their time in vain. Disappointment and frustration bound them. To see the Lord who promised to be with you die in such a futile way, I feel resentful and even betrayed by such a Lord. The resurrected Jesus appeared to all those who were discouraged, and gave each of them comfort and courage.
2) When the Lord left them by the death of the cross, He met them again with the glory of resurrection. He appeared in glory to the watchmen and Roman soldiers guarding the tomb, made those who were going down to Emmaus return to Jerusalem with confidence, and gave courage and strength to the assembled disciples. The Lord overcame death through recycling.
3) There are several people in the Bible who met the Lord. In 1 Corinthians 15, he appeared to Cephas, to twelve brothers, and to over five hundred brothers at one time, to James to all the apostles, and lastly to Paul, who was born of immaturity. Every time the resurrected Lord meets everyone, he gives each one of them the things they need, refreshment and courage. And today we also meet such a resurrected Lord.
1. Mary Magdalene met the resurrected Lord first.
1) Mary Magdalene, she is one of the people who received the love of Jesus. Usually, the Lord casts seven demons.
