Word: Matthew 18:15-20
One of the most troublesome issues when raising children is corporal punishment. Raising a rod when a child makes a mistake is very distressing for parents. A mother consulted in the midst of these concerns. Most child education experts say that corporal punishment is not necessary for children. Then, instead of punishing children when they do something wrong, I recommend making a “thinking chair” and encouraging them to sit there and reflect on their mistakes.
These two witnesses and the victim are to take the sinning brother to church if they cannot repent of their sins despite their confirmation. At that time, the Israel Community Synagogue was not just a place for Bible reading and worship, but a place to enforce laws to maintain the Israeli community, punish sinners, and excommunicate. The victim and the two witnesses should take the person who does not listen to them to the church and have them rule there. However, there is a work to be done before taking them to church. That's verses 18-19. The two people in verse 19 are the same two or three people in verse 16.
They had to go before God before taking the sinner to church. And we must pray together. What do you pray for? We must pray for the bondage and the release of the main things. Verse 19 says: If nine people agree to ask for anything, God the Father will do it for them. What does Heavenly Father accomplish? Is it to rule, to discipline, and to cast away? no. It's about getting a brother somehow. If you put down your anger, put down your feelings of hatred, and pray in order to forgive your brother and show tolerance, that prayer is a promise that God will surely fulfill it. God doesn't want anyone to lose. God wants to find lost brothers and sisters no matter what. The united prayer to find the brother cannot be ignored by God. A church or a family community is not a community maintained by discipline or discipline. Churches and homes are communities maintained by forgiveness and tolerance. We hope to become a praying family and a praying church now with one heart to accept and tolerate each other in order to forgive.
