entry
“Prayer changes everything. Prayer makes history.
Prayer changes people. Prayer raises a nation.
Embrace the times in our prayers and become the heroes of miracles
Let us embrace the world in our fantasy and become the protagonist of history.
Let us embrace a new day in our emotions and become the hero of our faith.
Let us have brothers in our hearts and become the protagonists of love.
It is not wrong to say that the history of the Bible is the history of prayer. God provides and controls everything, but through whom did he work? He worked through people who prayed.
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Hannah, Samuel, David, Isaiah, Elijah, Daniel,… The history of mankind has been made through people who pray.
Jesus wanted us as children of God to pray rather than condemn and criticize each other. He is telling us not to criticize and then to pray. It is easy to criticize, but it is not easy to pray. Because prayer requires faith, love, trust, compassion, and forgiveness in order to pray. Criticism is anything that comes from a negative person, but prayer is the fruit of love, compassion and forgiveness that comes from a person of positive faith, and it is an expression of trust and faith in God.
My heart that is closed toward the other person cannot be opened unless we pray. Also, the closed heart of the other person cannot be opened unless we pray.
1. Jesus tells us to pray for everything.
Matthew 7:7-8
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you; for everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Seek Hara ( ) - Request. ask for
You have already talked about prayer in Chapters 5 and 6 above. He told us to pray with the prayer center in the closet instead of trying to be seen by people. You told us to pray like this, and he taught us what to pray for.
What are you asking for?
“Hallowed be your name, our Father who art in heaven, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
“Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
It is to ask that the kingdom of God and His righteousness be done in me. It is a message to ask for God's grace, God's mercy, and love to me. And to find out whether God gave me what I asked for or not. It is said that if you seek, you will find. If you look for it and do not give it to him, you will knock again on the door of heaven, and it will be opened.
Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Jeremiah 29:12-13
You will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you; and if you seek and seek me with all your heart, you will find me.”
2. It is that our heavenly Father gives good things to us who ask.
Matthew 7:9-11
“Who among you whose son asks for bread will give him a stone, or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake? Are you?”
Good ( ) - The meaning of good, appropriate, and best.
Will Abraham forgive God if he only has 50 righteous people to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? There were no 45, 30, 20, 10, or 10 righteous people, but they received answers from their nephew Lot and his family.
Jacob wrestled with God all night by the Jabbok River and received an answer in Israel.
Hannah prayed and received an answer from God for Samuel, the best son.
Even though Daniel knew he was going to die, he prayed three times a day, looking toward the temple in Jerusalem. Through that prayer, Daniel became food for the lions who were persecuting him, gained the trust of a better king, and received answers to let the world know that the God he served is the true God.
When Jesus died on the cross, many people left. However, in obedience to Jesus' words, the disciples and 120 other believers who prayed in Mark's upper room received the Holy Spirit as a gift.
When we ask for A, God does A + and gives it as something better, more suitable, and the best.
3. What is prayer?
Matthew 7:12
“Therefore, whatever you would like others to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
Prayer is serving God as God. To receive answers from God, we must pray.
What do the Pentateuch, considered to be the law, tell us? Isn't that what it means to serve God as God? If we serve God as God, doesn't God treat us as His children? Love the LORD God with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your life, and God will love you too, don't you think?
What do the prophets tell us? Abandon idols, return to God, serve God as God, and he will return to you. Do you want to serve God as God? Pray that God's will may be done, understanding the glory of God. Pray that God's name may be sanctified.
Matthew 7:12
“Therefore, whatever you wish men to do to you, do to them. This is the law and the prophets.”
closing words
“For some reason, if you just try to pray, you keep getting jealous and jealous of Spurgeon and Campbell Morgan”
He prayed a lot for this matter. Whenever he heard other people praising the two of them, Pastor Meyer said, “God, please let the jealousy of the two of you disappear from within me.” No matter how much I pray, the jealousy does not disappear.
One day, while praying, God said, "You have only prayed that you will not be jealous. Have you ever prayed a blessing for Pastor Spurgeon and for Campbell Morgan?"
“I got freedom. got peace Joy welled up in my heart. I criticized without knowing. And I was jealous. Oh God thank you for forgiving me. Please don't let me be a slave to criticism again, and let me continue to bless you.” True prayer is a blessing.
