Title What is Truth?
Contents
What is the truth? This is the question Pontius Pilate asked when he was interrogating Jesus Christ as governor of Judea. The Bible says, “Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world, but if my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have fought so that I would not be handed over to the Jews. said, "Are you not then a king?" Jesus answered, "As you say, I am a king. For this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to bear witness to the truth. All who belong to the truth listen to me. He said, "What is the truth?" After saying this, he went out to the Jews again and said, "I find no sin in him" (John 18:36-38).
All the words written in the Bible testify of the truth. This is the will of God to be accomplished through the Son who became flesh. Regarding this, the Bible says, “God, who in ancient times spoke to our fathers in various parts and in various ways through the prophets, has spoken to us in these last days as a Son, who made him heir of all things, and through whom he created the world This is the splendor of God's glory, the image of his very being, upholding all things by the word of his power, performing the cleansing work of sin, and seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:1-3). ) is recorded.
Jesus Christ, whom God has sent into the world, will sit at the right hand of the Father until he has fulfilled the evidence of the truth in the flesh and put all things under his feet. The proof of the truth is the kingdom of God.
The Bible separates the kingdom of the world and the kingdom of God. The kingdom of the world is the visible kingdom, and the kingdom of God is the invisible kingdom. Therefore, what is seen is temporary, and what is not seen is eternal.
Truth is eternal. And it is righteous and it is also holy. Therefore, the kingdom of God is the kingdom of truth and the kingdom of righteousness. However, the kingdom of this world is a kingdom of untruth and a kingdom of unrighteousness. Christ Jesus Himself fulfilled the gospel of the kingdom of God, the word of truth, in the world through the death of the body, and his soul departed from the kingdom of righteousness that is not of this world.
Regarding this, the Bible testifies, “In him you also heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, also, and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 1:13) Because of the hope you have placed, you have heard the truth of the gospel before” (Colossians 1:5).
The eternal gospel, which is not the gospel of this world, is “the word of the gospel truth” and is the “gospel of the kingdom” and also the “gospel of the kingdom”. The visible world is a country of “injustice.” However, the kingdom of God that the world cannot see is the kingdom of “righteousness.” It is written, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all things in the world are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. All things come from the Father. It is not, but it is from the world” (1 John 2:15-16).
Therefore, unless we are born again of God, we are not children of the truth. This world is the cradle of giving birth to the children of truth. From death to life, from darkness to light, from perishability to immortality, the way of the cross is to fulfill this truth, which is sown in a natural body and raised in a spiritual body.
According to the will of God, the Lord Jesus testified of this truth and fulfilled it all. As it is written of this, "...I have nothing to boast about except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world" (Galatians 6:14). In order to buy a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells, the first heaven and the first earth in which unrighteousness dwells are all sold.
The kingdom of truth, the new heavens and the new earth, is a kingdom that cannot be lived without the price of blood. Christ Jesus, who first accomplished this, also said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible with you; remove this cup from me, but not as I will, but as you will” (Mark 14:36). The people of that country also bought it with blood.
It is written about Christ Jesus, who has fulfilled the truth, “being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:8). is to swallow. As it is written, “When this perishable puts on immortality, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the word that is written will come true, that death will be swallowed up in victory” (1 Corinthians 15:54).
Therefore, the children of God who have received the Spirit of truth by believing in the word of the gospel truth are those who follow Christ Jesus, deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow him wherever he leads. But to those who do not receive the love of the truth, as it is clearly written, “The coming of the evil one will come according to the works of Satan, with all powers and signs and false miracles and all deceitfulness of unrighteousness on those who are perishing, because they will not receive the love of the truth. Therefore, God caused temptation to work in them, to believe the lie, that all who do not believe the truth and have delight in iniquity may be judged” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). will be
Therefore, “God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4), and also, “If we sin voluntarily after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there is no other sacrifice for atonement, but only the terrible There will be waiting in the heart for judgment, and fierce wrath that will consume those who oppose it” (Hebrews 10:26-27).
“Therefore, my beloved, always obey, not only in my presence, but even more now in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).
Because God the Father and Christ the Son are the truth, eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent, said the Lord Jesus Himself.
Therefore, the Lord, who came to testify of the truth, said, “He will testify of me when the Counselor I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father” (John 15:26). When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth...' (John 16:13).
Another Comforter that the Bible speaks of is the Spirit of Truth. This is what the Bible calls the “Spirit of truth,” which is the Spirit of the Son. Therefore, the Bible says, “Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of the Son into our hearts, calling him Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6).
Of the seven Spirits of God, the Spirit sent out at the last harvest is the Spirit of Truth. The spirit of truth is the spirit of fruit. Therefore, it is called the fruit of the Spirit. That is why he said, “He who has the Son has life, and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:12). He also said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32). .
Therefore, those who have received the love of the truth ask, “What is truth?” doesn't say that. This is the truth, as it is written, “…each one of his own country, and each one teach his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord, for they all know me, from the least of them to the greatest’’ (Hebrews 8:11). It is because they are all led into the middle and drink the same Spirit.
Everyone who has been raised with Christ and eats the word of truth and drinks the Spirit of truth will be with Christ Jesus in the new heavens and the new earth, where they dwell in righteousness forever.
Glory to God our Father forever and ever, and praise the way to the Lord Jesus, who has opened up a new and living way for us by fulfilling this truth. We are infinitely grateful to the Holy Spirit of truth who also acts on behalf of the Bilba of God and guides us into the truth.
