Title What is your wish?
Mark 10:46-52, Matthew 20:29-34, Luke 18:35-43
1. Introduction
This story is told in German fairy tales. There lived a very, very poor couple. One cold winter night, an angel suddenly appeared at the couple's house. “I will grant you three wishes. Come on tell me”. Then, because it was cold and hungry, the wife suddenly said, “Oh, I just wish I could eat a hot and tasty sausage.” As soon as the words fell, on the table a sausage like the one that the wife had envisioned appeared on the table”. My husband saw it and screamed. “Oh, you foolish wife, one wish has been blown away! You, my wife, eat to your heart’s content!”. Then, the small paper was shoved into the wife's mouth. “Oh man, people die. I will choke to death!”. No matter how much the sausage was removed, the sausage was clinging to the wife's mouth and did not fall off. The couple knew they had only one wish left, but they couldn't live with sausages in their mouths. Reluctantly, I said, “Take this off!” and the sausages fell. What were the wishes of the couple when they had the opportunity to make their three wishes come true? Only one sausage.
2. 起: What about me?
The poor couple in the story only got one sausage. What about us? While we were sleeping for a long time, an angel appeared and asked, “What is your wish?” If I ask, is there a wish you can tell me right away? A lot of people seem to have a wish, but what is your real wish? I think a lot of people would be hesitant to ask. Isn't it? What are your wishes? Now, right now, come on, don't go crazy and say the wish you have in your heart!.
um- um- um- so- what is it- what was my wish really? The person who does it is no different from the poor couple in the story. How is it? is not it? A wish is a wish that fills the whole body of a person. So, even if you are sleeping, even when you are resting your heart, if you touch that person anytime, anywhere, it will immediately knock! That's what pops out.
3. 承: A person with a wish - Badimaeus
The main text is the story of <The Man with a Wish>. He is a blind beggar Bartimaeus. The text shows the circumstance that Bartimaeus knew that Jesus was mighty to heal the sick. Bartimaeus senses an unusual atmosphere and asks the people around him. Who is coming? Someone tells you that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by. Body Mao Oh! Jesus of Nazareth, that powder! Bartimaeus shouts when he hears that it is Jesus of Nazareth. to shout and cry out.
A wish is essentially <a prayer subject, hope and wish for something extremely difficult to come true>. In addition, wish, by its very nature, presupposes faith. Bartimaeus had such a wish. Bartimaeus believed that the only way to make his wish come true was Jesus of Nazareth. Therefore, when they heard that it was Jesus, they shouted and sought Jesus. Jesus of Nazareth! Son of David! have pity on me! Bartimaeus was a person who had a wish.
4. 轉: There is a wall in Jericho that blocks all wishes.
It is difficult to make wishes come true because there are obstacles and barriers that stand in the way of wishing. When Bartimaeus was about to go to Jesus to make his wish come true, the people around Jesus stopped him. Several people rebuked him. this guy is noisy What's the fuss about beggars? Why are you interrupting our precious conversation with Jesus? Don't be quiet!
Such is our reality today. If we try to make our wishes come true, you bastard, do you think it's going to happen? you can't No matter what you do, it seems like your origin is obvious. The caterpillar just needs to eat pine needles. In other words, there are external barriers such as ridicule, contempt, hindrance, disregard, and oppression, and internally there are barriers such as feelings of inferiority, embarrassment, doubt, frustration, and abandonment.
5. 結: All wishes come true beyond the walls of Jericho
People rebuked and ridiculed him, but Bartimaeus is as sassy as when a weak dog meets a strong dog and does not lower his tail, but raises his voice even more, Jesus of Nazareth, meet me! cried. but he only shouted all the louder. Bartimaeus crossed the walls of Jericho. I met Jesus. It is true that you will find me if you seek me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Bartimaeus <get up, get up, jump, jumped up, throw off his cloak> went to Jesus. Jesus asks. < Why did you seek me so earnestly? What do you want me to do for you? What is your wish?>.
What is Bartimaeus's answer? <Lord, I want to see you!>. How clear are you? No hesitation. No doubt. <I want to see you!> That was Bartimaeus's wish.
6. Closing story: Is there really a wish?
The Lord said, “What do you want me to do for you? What is your wish?> What would you say to me? I hope that you will be able to share <clear wishes> like Bartimaeus. Hope is faith. Because a wish without faith is an illusion. I pray in the name of Jesus of Nazareth that the words of <your faith has saved you> will be fulfilled in the field of life of all of us.
