Title What to Plant? / Hosea 10:9-15

Contents Bible Hosea 10:9-15

Title What to Plant?

Hos 10:9 O Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah, and there you stood and escaped the war against the wicked people in Gibeah.

Hos 10:10 I will chastise them when I wish; and when they fall into two sins, all nations will gather against them.

Hos 10:11 Ephraim is like a tame cow, and loves to tread on the grain; but I will yoke his beautiful neck and put men on him; Judah will plow, and Jacob will break the lumps of dirt.

Hos 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness, and reap mercy; now is the time to seek the Lord, and till your fallen land.

Hos 10:13 You have plowed iniquity, reaped iniquity, and have eaten false fruit, for you have trusted in your way and in the abundance of your mighty men.

Hos 10:14 Therefore there will be a commotion among your people, and all your strongholds will be destroyed, but as Shalman destroyed Beth-Abel in the day of war, then mother and child were broken together.

Hos 10:15 This is what Bethel will do to you because of your great wickedness, and the king of Israel will be annihilated at dawn.

entry

It's a busy and busy world. It's a fast-paced world. As I live a busy and busy life, I neglect my spiritual life and it becomes difficult to take care of myself, think about the church and my neighbors, and give time to myself.

Sometimes we have to stop what we are doing, stop the way we are going, and examine our lives before God. Because God sees and inspects all of our lives.

You are putting the scales of God and weighing them.

If you look at verses 9-10 of today's Word, He says this.

Hos 10:9 O Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah;

Hos 10:10 I will chastise them when I wish; and when they fall into two sins, all nations will gather against them.

Although Israel sinned, He saved them from war. But if they fall into two sins, I will discipline them when I want.

So what does the prophet Hosea say?

What do you tell God to do in order not to sin and not be punished?

1. Sow for yourselves righteousness and reap mercy.

Hos 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness, and reap mercy; now is the time to seek the Lord, and till your fallen land.

Sow righteousness for yourself.

God is righteous. Since God is righteous by nature, our righteousness does not affect God's justice. Therefore, in the end, for whom we seek His kingdom and His righteousness by faith, it is for ourselves.

We pay tithes, serve, and give alms in God's name through faith in God, but when we do this, God is not just and directed, not for God's sake, but for ourselves.

As Jesus said, it is not intended if it is to show formality or hypocrisy, but what we do by faith is our righteousness before God.

I do missionary work. rescue. I pray for the members. I'm going to visit you, I'll make a phone call. serve. Helps. We sincerely worship God. This is righteousness before God.

What will happen in the end? Who will be blessed?

God blesses both. It is a blessing to receive God's love and a blessing to practice God's love.

What does God do to those who sow righteousness?

will reap mercy.

Mercy refers to God's infinite grace, a blessing that is freely given out of pity.

This land we are treading on also returns more fruit when we receive seeds.

Jesus said that even though he is a child, he who gives him a cup of cold water when he is thirsty will never lose his reward in the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 6:36 Be merciful as your Father is merciful.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you; and it will be given to you, pressed generously, pressed down, shaken, and overflowing, and given to you.

Gal 6:8 He who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but he who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

Gal 6:9 Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we are not weary.

We don't do it because we want to be given, but we do it by faith, simply because we are thankful for God's grace. Giving is the will of God. Don't be discouraged if you don't give it right away. Let's not be disappointed. When the time is right, you will surely reap the fruit, but you will reap abundantly.

2. Now is the time to seek Jehovah.

?ow is the time to seek the Lord, till your fallen land. At last the Lord comes and rains righteousness on you.

I will bring it down to you.??

What does it mean to say that now is the time to seek Jehovah?

The meaning of the word seeking the Lord is to seek it through prayer and worship. It means doing righteousness.

Deuteronomy 4:29 But there you will seek the LORD your God, and if you seek him with all your heart and all your soul you will find

Jeremiah 29:12 You will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

13 If you seek me and seek me with all your heart, you will find me.

Amos 5:4 The LORD said to the house of Israel: Seek me, and you will live.

We don't always have time like this.

We often live in illusions. You are still young, you have a lot of time, and there are many opportunities to do it in the future. No one knows. Only God knows this.

All times belong to God.

Deuteronomy 11:14 The LORD will send the early rain and the latter rain on your land at the proper time, and you will obtain grain and wine and oil.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 For everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.

Ecclesiastes 3:2 A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to uproot

Ecclesiastes 3:3 A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build up;

Ecclesiastes 3:4 A time to weep and a time to laugh , a time to mourn and a time to dance . . .

This ?ime??refers to a decisive time.

There is a time to sow and a time to harvest.

When you sow, you must sow, and when you reap, you have a harvest.

There is a time to pray and a time to receive answers.

There is a time to suffer and a time to enjoy rest.

When we sow the days we live on this earth, it is a time to reap fruit in the kingdom of God.

If you fail to sow righteousness while you are alive and go to hell and regret it, even if you try to plant it, the time has passed.

Now is the time to seek God. He has given us time for prayer and is calling us. Now is the time to find me.

Seek the Lord. If you serve and love God with all your heart and with all your strength, trust and ask for everything, God will meet you, and the work of living your soul and your family will take place.

3. How to find Jehovah?

?ow is the time to seek the Lord, till your fallen land. At last the Lord comes and rains righteousness on you.

I will bring it down to you.??

Plowing up the old ground is the first step in seeking God.

Jeremiah 4:3 This is what the LORD says to the people of Judah and Jerusalem: Plow up your old ground and do not sow among thorns.

Jeremiah 4:4 You Jews and inhabitants of Jerusalem, circumcise yourselves and cut off the skins of your hearts, and belong to the LORD. . .

Weeds are bound to grow luxuriantly in the stale soil.

We cannot sow righteousness as long as weeds and thorns are tangled in our hearts. You cannot find God because you are obscured by these things.

Grain cannot be sown in areas overgrown with weeds and thorns. You can't expect any fruit.

As Jesus said, we need to make good soil that yields 30, 60, 100 folds of fruit.

You have to plow the heart like a hard road, pull out thorns, and lift up stones.

How can we turn our old land into good soil?

The Word, the Holy Spirit, and prayer.

Through the Word, we must discover what is in the field of our heart and what is growing.

Is there a stone in my soul, is there a thorny vine, is it hardened, is the seed of evil growing? . .

We have to plow it up with the power of the Holy Spirit, relying on the Holy Spirit. And you have to pull it out by prayer. You must repent.

Tear up your fallen land, and at last the LORD will come and rain down righteousness on you.??

God promises to come and rain down righteousness as long as we plow the old ground.

He says that He will save us if we cultivate the old ground.

By cultivating the old ground, the true righteousness of the Lord is always in our hearts so that our souls can live and reap the fruit of God's abundant blessing.
