Words to be preached (Revelation 10)
John experienced a new vision to receive the prophecy of the remaining calamity. He saw an angel resembling Jesus and heard the warning about the last angel's trumpet.
The Word of God is always special and it is a new sensation when experienced, but the text sees John receiving revelation ahead of the last trumpet plague of the last great tribulation and receiving new inspiration twice as much.
1. The vision that appeared when we received the Word
People misunderstand the first revealing angel, 1-2, ''another mighty angel'.
Some interpreters interpret this angel as just Jesus because it looks similar to Jesus, but in the Book of Revelation Jesus is represented as a Lamb. He never called Jesus an angel.
Here the angel is clothed in clouds, but Jesus is riding on clouds and riding on a white horse.
Matthew 24:30 “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and at that time all the peoples of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with power and great glory.”
Revelation 19:11 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and a man riding it, whose name was Faithful and True; and he judged and fought with justice.”
The prophets of the Old Testament often received visions when they received God's revelation, and in the New Testament, there were cases where the apostles saw prophetic visions when they received special instructions from God.
# When Moses was called, he received a revelation from the angel of the Lord who appeared in the flames of the bush.
Exodus 3:4 "And when the LORD saw that he had turned to see, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses."
# Elijah listened in a small voice.
1 Kings 19:12 “And after the earthquake there was fire, but the Lord was not in the midst of the fire, and after the fire there was a still voice.”
#Paul, Acts 18:9 'The Lord said to him in a vision by night, Do not be afraid, do not be silent, and speak.'
However, if we do not understand the message of God that He wants to give through the vision itself, the vision itself will be meaningless, and eventually, only faith will lose its scale and change strangely due to the temptation of evil spirits.
# It is said that Sun Myung Moon of the Unification Church went into the cave and heard the voice of an angel,
# All of the things that several sects have directly received revelation dream of self-sanctification and are being tested by the devil.
Deuteronomy 13:3 “You shall not heed the words of the prophet or the dreamer, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Gal 1:8 “But if we, or even angels from heaven, preach any gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.”
2. The bitter taste of God's Word
9-11, 'Take it and eat it'. As he ate, it was as sweet as honey in his mouth, just as the angel had told him.
The Bible expresses the Word of God in spiritual form. So it is said to eat, and sweet like honey in the mouth means that it is mysterious and pleasant to hear, but painful to implement. In particular, the expression bitter emphasizes the harshness of the judgment that will appear in the last days.
To be a child of the true Word, you must understand the taste of God's Word as sweet as honey and understand how difficult it is to follow the Word.
Today, people are searching for a way to easily listen to God's word and live easily, but there can never be such a new way.
When the word of God comes, especially when we hear the prophetic words that are to be witnessed, it is not always pleasant.
* A revelation telling Moses to go to Egypt and build Israel
* The prophecies entrusted to Isaiah, Jonah, and Hosea were not easy.
If you say you will receive only blessings unconditionally, from the day you believe in Jesus, you will be tested and face difficulties and become discouraged. Because of this, there are two sides of sweetness and bitterness in the gospel.
It sounds good, but your lifestyle doesn't allow this world to live up to the nature of the gospel. It is also clear that the Devil will interfere. In the last days, we should know that it is a very natural operation of the evil spiritual world to refute those who cry out the right words.
2 Timothy 4:3 “The time is coming when people will not receive sound teaching, and will not receive sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate many teachers to suit their own desires.”
3. What to say
'The right foot is on the sea and the left foot is on the ground' In the book of Revelation, the sea means the secular and the earth symbolizes the religious society. That is why it is a revelation from God that the whole world must hear.
Christianity is a preaching religion. It is a religion that preaches the good news, the Gospel. It is to believe in Jesus and be saved. If you don't believe me, you're telling me that you're dead. People of other religions are crying out for freedom of religion, asking for something to believe and to encourage people to believe. That's the trap. Letting go is not religion. Even in today's church, visits, interest, questions, and deep fellowship with each other are considered to be interfering. It is a shortcut that destroys their souls.
The word to be preached, the man of the word to be preached, the Bible to be preached, the word of life that must be preached, the word of warning, and prophecy. I bless you for realizing it. A sermon you don't want to preach is not a sermon. The content of the church's meetings that are not delivered and the message that there is no impulse to convey is not the true will of God. The will of God must be witnessed.
Verse 11 says, 'He said to me, 'You must prophesy again to many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.'
Blessed one! There is a word, and those who hear it! I am supposed to pass it on to you. Even though it is difficult to convey and it tastes bitter, I have to testify because there is a clear reason why I must convey it. I pray that you and I will be like the apostles, bearing witness to the Lord's testimony generously.
