When the heart is crushed (Psalm 61:1-8)

Yes, because it only looks outward. No matter how happy people seem, when they talk to each other, there is pain in their hearts. There are secret tears. In life, everyone is living with pain in their hearts.
The text contains important themes of the psalm, such as lamentation and supplication, assurance of salvation, and praise of thanksgiving. In particular, this psalm was written at a time when David was driven back from rebellion by his son Absalom and returned to Mahanaim after the rebellion was suppressed. In verse 2, the phrase 'when the heart is crushed' appears. It is 'ataf' in the original language, which means 'injured, weak'.
David, who was hiding in Mahanaim, was severely depressed. It was as if something heavy had fallen and pressed under it, and there was no strength to get up. But David confesses his weakness and asks for the power in God. In a moment of despair, he received help by relying on God. Do you have pain in your heart? Be like David. If so, what should you do specifically when your heart is pressed?
First, cry out to the Lord.

I believe that the cry to God led to the work of saving lives.
Second, flee to the Lord.

David remembered God who had guided him until now when his heart was crushed.

It makes you busy and busy. Let complicated things happen. We fall into Satan's schemes and are driven away by worldly affairs and prevent us from dwelling in God's presence. Are you busy? Isn't it less time to stay before God? Now, like David, I want you to abide before God. Please do your best to meet God, not anything in the world or meeting anyone in the world.
