Title When obedience and obedience become one?

Contents

In the gospel there is necessarily obedience and there is also obedience. Obedience is in the heart and obedience is in the body. If a person has only obedience in heart and no submission in body, he will never attain holiness, only forgiveness of sins and no salvation. It will be like those who were saved in Egypt but could not enter Canaan and were destroyed in the wilderness. As it is written, “You originally knew all things, but I want to remind you again that the Lord delivered the people out of Egypt and later destroyed the unbelievers” (Jude 1:5). will be

Therefore, he testified, “In the gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed, from faith to faith, as it is written, The righteous will live by faith” (Romans 1:17).

For this reason, the Bible says about obedience, “Thank God, for you were originally slaves of sin, but by obeying from your heart the pattern of teaching that was delivered to you, you were set free from sin and became slaves to righteousness” (Romans 6:17-18). He also testified of obedience, saying, “I beat my body to make it submissive, lest after I preach to others, I myself will be rejected.” (1 Corinthians 9:27).

Even now, there are many people who obey the gospel, but there are very few who obey the gospel. This is because only the first faith that obeys is known and the latter faith that obeys does not know.

There is a relationship of obedience between father and son, and a relationship of submission between masters and servants. Our Lord Jesus, who became the source of salvation, also fulfilled God the Father's will through obedience and obedience. It is the same as the written testimony, “After receiving the sour wine, Jesus said, It is finished.” He bowed his head and died” (John 19:30). That is, obedience as a son, and obedience as a person.

Therefore, “Jesus said, ‘Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. He clearly stated that he is my Father as a son of obedience and my God as a man of obedience.

Even if a person hears the Gospel, receives Christ, and believes in Him, becomes a child of God, if there is no suffering and patience to beat him up and obey him, he is only a child of disobedience who will eventually be cast away.

Therefore, obedience without obedience will eventually become chaff without grain and become chaff blown by the wind in the last days, and will be thrown into unquenchable fire. That is why Christ, who became the firstfruits, also said, “And for their sake I sanctify myself, that they too may be sanctified in the truth” (John 17:19), giving the testimony of submission to God, and also, “The likeness of a man. When he appeared as a , he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of a cross” (Philippians 2:8). It was fitting that the Lord of our salvation was perfected through suffering” (Hebrews 2:10).

The incorruptible seed is sown by obedience, and the fruit that leads to holiness is produced through obedience. It is the same as the written testimony, “Therefore, my beloved, always obey, not only in my presence, but even more now in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).

All of these things are gifts of God, done by grace in the truth. That is, it is the same as the testimony of the testimony, “He will transform our lowly bodies to be like his glorious body by the work of him who is able to subject all things to himself” (Philippians 3:21).

For this reason, when anyone is justified by obedience and attains holiness through obedience, he will have eternal life. Amen, thank you Lord.
